Galaxy Note 3 - Case & Covers Thread

I have the same case and I get nothing but compliments about it. Gives it a more professional look without the bulky appearance.

Definitely a great looking case. I can easily hold it but in my short time with it I didn't like the feeling of the plastic shell. I went and got a Tudia branded TPU for my Note 3. Its a far better feeling and more grip compared to Diztronic. I did love the way the Neo Hybrid looked though.

Hey if anyone is using the otterbox defender case, should you remove the battery cover before putting it in the case?

I ask because mine doesn't fit well unless i take it off.

No. Mine fits perfect with the battery case on. You shouldn't never have to

Mine fits well, but ever since getting this phone that back cover makes a squeaking sound when you press on it just a little bit. I hate it because it always makes that sound when I hold the phone in my hands.

Oh it fits fine but makes a creaky noise. Without the cover it fits much better. Leaving off the battery cover wouldn't hurt anything would it?

No, it wouldn't hurt anything. It's fine to use without the back cover off. When I'm using my Goospery TPU case I don't use that back cover.

Re: Note 3 Case Thread.

No thanks to my OCD, i've been going back and forth trying to decide on what case to get my new sexa Black Note 3 after having a white Note 1 and 2, I was simply "whited" out lol.

I had a commuter for my Note 2 and it was a real good case but the colors for the note 3 commuter suck, i'm so sick of white and I wanted something with less bulk and weight.

Spigen has really recommended but I simply couldn't decide wether to go slim armor or NEO, so I finally just said screw it and ordered both lol! Plus, Amazon has 15% off certain spigen items shipped together so I really got 30% off and I'm trying amazon prime so I got free 2 day shipping! Happy friday indeed!!

Re: Note 3 Case Thread.

Just received my Spigen Slim Armour View and the IC chip was missing... I decided to buy it after the Samsung update rolled out so you can guess how disappointed I am. The build quality is great tho, as usual.

Just Got the Spigen Neo Hybrid , loving the case but I got a couple of concerns
1.How scratch resistant is the back

does anyone of a good case for my note3. i put on a wireless charging back on it. and now none of the cases i have will fit.

I have been sticking with a TUDIA case and an iSmooth screen protector for a little bit now. I just removed the iSmooth and installed a MIME Ghost Tempered Glass screen protector on my device. This screen protector leaves a tiny bit open on the side for a case but the TUDIA meets up perfectly and covers edge to edge.

Anyone who is willing to drop $28 on a screen protector go for it. Plastic smudges so easily but this glass is as good as the stock phone and offers 9H hardness protection.

Not that I am aware of. That is the reason why I got a third-party wireless charging pad instead of using the Samsung wireless charging back

There are a couple of bumper cases that are cheap by bear motion and poetic. They can be found on Amazon and they fit great and are decent quality. That's all I have found so far. I'm using them now with the Samsung wireless back plate.

Have the Tech 21 case right now. I like it but the back doesn't provide any recess to camera and I am concerned about that glass getting scratched. Just ordered the UAG case. That and the tempered glass protection I have should be a good combo. I had the defender before but I am not a fan of the plastic screen cover of the otter box and I didn't like the rubber grip of the defender shell. Having long hair and that rubber grip is not a great combo. The commuter would be better for me but I really dislike the plastic cover. Going to give UAG a try and see how it goes.

The commuter doesn't have the plastic screen cover. You can punch out the otterbox defender screen cover as well

I went back and forth the last several days between trying out the sexy Spigen Slim Armor on my Note 3 and the tried and true Otterbox Commuter for the Note 3 as the Note 2 version saved my Note 2 from many drops and hard hits in the past . What was frustrating was that I didn't want the bulk anymore of the Commuter in comparison to the very sleek layout of the Spigen Slim Armor, however the Spigen is a freaking finger print magnet with the glossy polycarb and it would easily show scratches and dings vs the Commuter. I liked that the Commuter had the flaps to keep dirt and debris outa my USB and headphone jack but the Slim Armor just didn't feel as bulky as the commuter, which was a nice change.

All in all, the pro's and cons made it really tough to decide. But in the end, protection won over style so i'll be sticking with the Commuter and using Spigens oleophobicscreen protector along with it.

Looks good but have you considered the trident cyclops case? It's super light and not bulky and protects just as well as the Otterbox.

I should know. My kids have dropped my phone on concrete several times and it's never got a scratch with the cyclops case

I bought the case in the link below. I had never heard of them but found it on Ebay and thought I would try it. I like it a lot! It fits the phone really tight so it won't fly out if dropped. It has a nice lip on the front and the camera is recessed for protection. It has a matte finish on the back so that is is not really slick in the hand plus the side grips help a lot with holding the phone. The power and volume buttons are kind of stiff to press but I am getting used to it and they do seem to be loosening up some so not quite as hard to push now. I also like the corner protection it offers. It is not bulky at all and doesn't add to much weight to the phone. On the back there are 3 tiny little nobs- one above the camera and two at the bottom on either side of he phone so that when you set your phone down it won't scratch the back of the case. It looks really good too!! I have the black one. The phone is a little hard to get out of the case since it fits so tight.I have tried several cases and have finally found one that I am happy with and plan on keeping. Using this case with the Tech 21 Impact Shield screen protector.

Anybody ever come across a replacement battery door for the Note 3 that also functions as like a bumper for the edges? I'm basically looking for a case that snaps on to the phone like the battery door (kind of like s view case or whatever), but that has additional material that covers the edges of the phone. They can't be that hard to make I'm kind of surprised I haven't been able to find one yet. Anyways, input would be appreciated. Thanks.
