Galaxy Note 4: Battery Life Concerns Check Here First

Does that awake time mean something is keeping my CPU active when the screen is off?

Pic below, need one more to post links...

I found that my battery life returned to normal after I had run the battery down to near single digits or lower a couple of times. It just started behaving normally again.

Still on KitKat.

I have a 10,000 mAh battery and had those similar issues. One thing i have done is discharge the battery to 5% , charge the phone with the power off all the way to 100%. Use the phone has you would normally the next day, let it drain to 5% again. ( it may drain quickly the second day. ) Repeat this process for two more days. Hopefully this will calibrate the battery and the phone to match. Please post results.

I took my phone of the charger last night before going to sleep figuring I'd lose maybe 20% as I annoyingly normally do in standby, but I woke up to a dead phone. This is getting ridiculous. Something kept it awake and I don't know what it was, but this phone shouldn't be running into this kind of trouble when my iPhone 5s could sit in standby for days.

For me, Lollipop just did not work for battery life, I simply reverted back to KitKat and now am back to rocking awesome battery life.

After a hard reset (didn't restore any backups) this hasn't changed. I still have a lot of awake time when the screen is off. I tried Greenify and hibernated any Apps I didn't want on and it helped a little, not much.

Could it be from having WiFi always on? I wouldn't think so, but I can't explain it. I do know YouTube had a lot of CPU time when it wasn't being used.

Here it is now. I wiped my phone last night. It is quite a bit better, but not perfect, I guess. Screen on time appears to remain identical, ~4.5-5hrs.

I've had my phone for almost 9 months and always used the Adaptive Fast Charging. My battery will get down to 20% or 19% and then drop to 10% and below 5% very quickly and then shut off. Should I buy a new battery and only use the AFC when I really need it?

I have the exact same problem ... I leave my GN4 with 60-70% and i often find the battery dead empty in the morning ... which has already led me to missing a few appointments.

I looked into it and i realized that only 25% of the actual battery drainage appear in the power saving settings: meaning that 75% of whats causing the problem comes from an external source . Virus? Battery wear ? Screenshot_2015-07-20-17-44-11.jpg

Google Now seems to be a large battery drain for me, especially overnight, so I've disabled it now.

Turned location off and has been off for a week but google location service is still in the list of running applications? Worried it is what is causing bad battery life on my note 4? What are your thoughts

Does the "OK Google" voice detection feature kill the battery?

What do you guys reckon is keeping my phone awake? I know this is pretty good battery life but just out of curiosity I wanted to know. I have location off and always toggle wifi and data off and on when needed. These scree ****s were taken with a SOT of about 4hrs. Thanks
