Why are so many people who don't understand the issue that is happening making negative comments about not knowing how to hold a freakin' phone for taking photos. It has NOTHING to do with that. I used an LG phone for 3 years and it always had the orientation of the photo noted and displayed properly when transferred to ANY PC program that displays or stores photo.
With my Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime, which has really good cameras, I am experiencing this as well.
So, those with knowledge - IS THERE A FIX FOR THIS (that does not involving having to rotate photos later). ?
It's a simple question - maybe in all the responses here there is an answer already, but I certainly can't find it. Instead, I'm finding all kinds of assumptive comments from people not even experiencing the issue here.
I'm bradinca at gmail - drop me a line if there's an easy fix for this please. You know, a setting on the phone somewhere. I simply want to take a photo with my phone in vertical (portrait mode) like MOST people take photos and selfies with their phone, and have it be in proper orientation for programs (on a PC) that do not read EXIF data and orientate the photo different than the source photo would suggest. MOST OF my photos on a recent vacation require a 90 degree RIGHT rotation to correct for PC viewing. Some are okay though - and perhaps this happened when I put the phone in portrait, turned to landscape, THEN turned back to portrait before taking the photo as some people has indicated may have it orientating right --- this, of course, is not an acceptable thing to do on most or every photo take, ha !
Thanks if you know how to fix this and can let me know ....
