phone is either not taking pictures or not saving pictures it takes.

When I open camera and go to settings and scroll down "storage phone" is shaded and I can't open it.

I think I might have messed something up when I attempted to make the phone take pictures without making a sound, which isn't possible on my version of the s3. the straight talk version.

I downloaded "good camera" and that works but the image quality is low. I'd like to make the stock camera work again.

Any help would be appreciated

Try Camera FV-5 Lite. It's a better camera app (it gives you more control of the camera). If the picture quality is still bad (grainy, pixelated, etc.) it's probably a hardware failure in the camera.

If, by "low", you mean under- or over-exposed or not focused, or blurry, those are all operator errors, not camera or app problems.

Why would my camera stop working? Is there something I can check. I just want the stock camera program to work.

Nevermind. It was my error. I was hitting the wrong button to take the photo. Problem solved. Thanks!
