Galaxy S5: Tempered glass screen protectors?

Well I can also confirm the Zagg feels wonderful, However I got some dust under the corner, so I pealed it up the edge ever so slightly and the Snap! The corner broke. On he good side it now sits flat. Just passing on as you install, they can and will break.

As will all glass protectors. Gotta be extremely careful.

Yea, you can't peel it off once it is on. It's a thin sheet of glass and it will Crack

I actually did peel off and re-place the one on my S4. I used a paring knife and passed it under the protector starting at one corner. Mind you, I keep my knives extremely sharp, so it was easy to get the blade under. And, also, it was within minutes of the initial placement. Don't know how it will go after sitting for a while.

I peeled it because I'd gotten a single speck of dust. I washed my hands, peeled the protector, then ran it under hot water on the adhesive side to eject the dust. Tapped most of the water off by tapping the edge on my counter gently. Then I dropped it back on the screen. I had to squeegee it to get the water that remained out, but it seems to have gone just fine, and the protector is unblemished even today.

Also, the best buy guy was telling me you can theoretically get replacement ones for free for other devices. All you do is shatter it in a bunch of pieces and say it was for another phone, like the s6 in the future and it's like having lifetime replacement for all devices you own

You're defining Fraud. I hope people have character enough not to get their products this way. With China we already have enough fraud in the world. I don't know what your career is eyecon82 but I bet you would not want things stolen this way.

I was just telling you what the guy was saying. I don't intend to do this.

And I'm a physician. Not going to risk something stupid like this over my career.

Just installed my Spigen GlastR Nano and I've got a tiny piece of crap under the glass. I hate to peel it off and throw $35. in the toilet over a tiny speck of crap.
Was thinking about trying the iloome screenmate. Anyone tried the iloome?

My friends iLoom seems to attract finger prints too much. I recommend the Zagg Glass ($40). The lifetime replacement program costs $5.99 shipping to you and whatever it costs you back for a new protector. It's a lot up front but worth it in the end due to quality and warranty.

I'm tempted by these glass protectors.

At the moment, I have a perfectly positioned, dust free Belkin screen protector on my S5.

What are the glass ones like for finger prints and glare when in daylight??

Like the look of the Zagg one. Is this the best out there?

Yep, consensus shows ZAGG is the best and also the most expensive

If you don't want to shell out $30 or $40, I've had a good experience with the Luvvitt one (Amazon.com: LUVVITT? Samsung Galaxy S5 TEMPERED GLASS Screen Protector for Samsung Galaxy S5 - Crystal Clear: Cell Phones & Accessories). It was $10 when I got it, $13 now. I've never used any of the others so I can't compare directly, but I can tell you I'm very happy with my purchase. No glare issues and it does a decent job with fingerprints (perhaps not quite as good as the original screen, but it's not a big deal to me considering the price).

Does anybody know what the hardness rating is for the Zagg glass? What is the thickness? I assume it has an oleophobic coating based on how many people said it resists finger prints better than the rest.

9H Hardness. Thickness is just enough but not too thick. Not sure on actual thickness number.

The thickness is 0.5mm

I have always used the Spigen Glass protectors but might try a Zagg as this spot under my GlastR nano is driving me crazy. Another $35. down the drain.:p

Is the Zagg really better then the Spigen GlastR Nano or iloome Screenmate? The nano covers up the front camera while the others leave this area open.

Wondering how much thicker the Zagg is over the Nano?

I'm using a Verizon Tempered Glass right now. I had to swap my phone and rather than spend $10 for a pack of 3 plastic I decided to try the Verizon branded TG. Let me tell you this is an amazing protector that covers nearly the whole display. Paired with an OEM Samsung Protective Cover its edge to edge protection. I'll have a Zagg on standby as I did do a warranty replacement.

So which is better: Zagg or this? Don't know yet, going to test for a bit. The finger prints seem to wipe away and build up at the same rate as Zagg though. If both hold the same likeness the Verizon may be the way to go for me.

Zagg - $40 at Best Buy ($35 if ordered directly from Zagg). $5.99 for shipping and an additional cost to ship old one back for warranty replacements.

Verizon protectors are $25 but I got it for $20 after tax with my 25% off accessory discount. Replacement would be $20 so close to the Zagg and I could pick it up on store.

Cost effectiveness is in the favor of Verizon of you don't break a bunch of them. Let's see how long it lasts. :)

I gotta give another vote for the Luvvitt glass screen protector. For $13 it is perfect. Have not used any other brand to compare, but doubt I ever will because I will purchase another Luvvitt if anything happens to this one.

Which one is worth buying?

InvisibleSHIELD HD Screen Protector $26 or InvisibleSHIELD Glass Screen Protector $40?

InvisibleShield Glass is the only one you should touch when it comes to Zagg products.
