Galaxy S5: Tempered glass screen protectors?

I can now say with confidence that the Luvvitt branded glass protector is pretty much as good as the stock screen. I have been using mine for a month and it is still perfectly clear and scratch free. The oil resistant coating is very good. I never think about it being on my phone. I'm sure there are thinner protectors out there but I wouldn't notice those either.

I'm using helium digital tempered glass protector and love it. I had the zagg one on my old iPhone and to be honest this one is as good or better.

Was the Zagg Glass or film?

I know they are a little lesser known, but my personal favorite brand is amfilm. They are a little cheaper than all the other main brands, and they work really really well. I've had a few of these, and I've never been disappointed.

I know its not a glass screen protector, but I have a , and it works really well for me. I have to clean the screen every now and then, but it has not started to peel or anything. It's less than $5, and it's perfect for what I need. I'm really happy with it, if you can't tell. Haha.

So happy that you forgot to put a name. Lol

I will chime in. Love the tempered glass. I use the Muvit version, but I recommend any version that has the silicon bonding and the bevelled edges. Clean look, no orange peel effect, and they don't peel up at the edges. They do tend to capture grease a little more than the screen though. Should be the last screen prot you buy for that phone.

Re: Tempered glass screen protectors?

I just purchased an s5 at best buy; the salesman talked me into a zagg glass and I'm extremely happy with it. It does feel amazing to the touch. Even though I paid $40 for it, I admit it was worth it.

A quick update on my luvvitt screen protector. I picked up a scratch the other day near the bottom right of the screen. I work in an environment where there is frequently broken glass on our work tables. I wonder if there was a shard of glass that got scraped against the screen somehow?

The scratch is pretty much unnoticeable and I am happy it happened to the protector and not the screen. Looks like the luvvitt just paid for itself.

I have this one and LOVE it! It was easy to install and I was really surprised at the touch sensitivity. I thought with something this thick I would lose some sensitivity.

I just had a zNitro Tempered Glass protector put on my S5 today at a Nitro kiosk at the mall. It looks fantastic! On zNitro's website they do a hammer test on the screen on a iPhone. The screen survives but I'm not sure about the insides of the phone.

Has anyone tried the iloome products? I have heard great reviews on them but I still haven't pulled the trigger yet due to the price. Had my phone for 2 weeks, babying it and not a single scratch on the screen without the protector. Even so, I am not going to try my luck and will be purchasing a screen protector ASAP. I am interested in those 9H tempered glass ones and my only other concern is if my case will get in the way of the protector.

Well I did try the iloome screenmate flexible glass, but that didn't last a month, since it already scratched. I ended up going back to the Spigen Glas.tr nano slim. I have no problems with it and it works fine with any case. So yes, case will not get in the way.
