Galaxy S7 Issues With WiFi when Bluetooth is on

Mine was reproducing consistently. I tested on two different networks, one was a fiber connection. For my phone, it was clear as day that turning the blue tooth on was killing the wifi.

Got my GS7 at Verizon yesterday, and I'm not seeing this problem. I have BT on all the time and connected to my MOTO 360 watch. I get the same WiFi performance, as measured multiple times by the Speed Test app, under all these conditions:
- BT on, paired and connected to the watch
- BT on, watch powered down and showing disconnected on the phone
- BT off
Looking at my router setup, IPv6 is enabled. I don't know how to determine if its being used or not...

I'm sad to say that a factory reset did the trick for me. I guess that's good news since it means it's a software issue. It's just total BS that you have to factory reset a brand new flagship phone to get it to work right.

UPDATE: It's happening again. No idea what the hell is going on anymore. It seemed to work fine until I paired my second Bluetooth device.

Yep, once I paired the car and that was it. Same BS. Debating on returning the phone. I can't imagine how long Samsung and Verizon will take to acknowledge, let alone fix the issue.

Same issue here. It's a 100% repro on my AT&T Galaxy S7 Edge :(

When Bluetooth is turned on, my wifi immediately becomes unusable (crawling speeds). The moment I turn Bluetooth off, Wifi works perfectly again. My Phone is only paired to one Bluetooth device (car). I came from the Galaxy S6 and did a smart switch.

I am sure this is a software issue, but I have no idea how long it will take for Samsung to address it. On the bright side, it's better than the hardware defect that a number of S6 devices had at release (stuck accelerometer) as that required me to actually return my S6 device with the first two weeks :)

Oh and no...no Dunkin donuts app ;)

Im having the same issue too. Just got the phone yesterday - Verizon S7 Edge. Everything seemed to work fine for 5 hours or so (with bluetooth on, most of the time I believe) then it finally started crawling. Once I turn bluetooth off its fine. I need to keep bluetooth on for my garmin vivofit and Automatic Car device.

I also have the Dunkin Dounuts apps. I tested it last night once I uninstalled the app wifi worked fine wile BT was on. I then reinstalled the app. I tested the phone at every step:
worked after reinstalling.
Logged into app wifi still worked.
open payment and closed and reopen chrome issue came back.

I also found another workaround. I forced closed the app then it seemed wifi worked fine at least for a little bit then had to do this once more. Phone was charging overnight woke up and it still was working on wifi with BT on. But have not reopened the Dunkin app since. There are reports of this issue and the app in the play store reviews. Hope this issues gets resolved soon.

I do, have you found some correlation with that and some issue?

I've read on the Samsung subreddit that some apps may be linked to this. Dunkin donuts' app was mentioned.

I uninstalled it and everything worked. When I reinstalled it, all the problems returned.

Good call on that, so I just deleted it and rebooted and all seems well. So I will give it all day to see if it was the fix.

I figured it was an App because booting into Safe Mode does the trick but could never narrow it down because it was hit or miss after booting back up.

Wow, this just keeps getting better! For the record, I have never installed a Donut app and I do have the issue on my AT&T S7.

Holy cow it worked for me as well, I just uninstalled the app and now it works. That's very weird.

As crazy as that is, I think it worked for me, at least for right now. Bluetooth on and wi-fi is speedy, getting the full 40/40 on my internet connection.

I don't think my wife has the Dunkin app though on her Note 5 which is having the same issue, what other apps are noted?

This would be a situation when a factory restore would do the trick, I just didn't feel like doing it again.

I don't have the Dunkin Donut app, and had the issue on my Verizon S7 Edge. But I'm glad to hear removing an app helped some people. Maybe if it's an app I can narrow it down to another one on my phone.

You're right, it's hard to quantify one app that is causing an issue, but there has to be other apps behaving in the same manor that causes this problem.
