I leave it on and connect to Wi-Fi when it's available. Are you guys that are getting 6+ hrs of SOT always on Wifi?
It's actually better for lithium batteries to charge like that versus a deep charge (ie, let it go dead then charge)Hi guys, quick question here. Do you wait until the battery is low before putting it back on the charger? Is it bad to throw it on the charger while at my desk and it's at 70% battery?
Fully charged 7:30AM yesterday and still had some battery 11:44PM last night, not bad at all.I figure we should start an official battery thread since we are seeing quite a few pop up.
Remember to post your stats below and advise if you have the S8 or S8 Plus.

Real good. But don't know about better than any other. Moto Z Play DroidPretty damn good. Better than any other out there right now.
I have been seeing 5-6 hrs sot on the s8 but have noticed standby time to not be the best

Where I work we have to keep our phones in lockers for security reasons, so yeah service isn't good in that room. However, my iPhone barely budges in the same scenario. Android and iOS have similar battery life while using the phones. Certain Android phones better. Standby just isn't as good on Android though. I've never had an Android phone that gets the standby battery life iOS does. It's not a deal breaker. I just have to remember to either turn my S8+ off or put it in Airplane Mode when I get to work to preserve battery life.
