[GB][2.11.605.0][Sense3.0]BAMF Forever 1.0.7

Re: [GB][2.11.605.0][Sense3.0]BAMF Forever 1.0.6

Excuse the NOOB question.....Has anyone verified that there is no issues using this Kernel with Das BAMF Forever 1.0.6 or should I just wait to see if a new kernel is released? I have never flashed a kernel and am very nervous about it. Just got brave enough to root yesterday. I just want to see if I can overclock my TB.
Is there another way to do it versus a kernel change?

I am running 3.8.0.with the normal setting (under volted and over clocked to 1.4GHz). Mt phone is flying and still better battery life than stock. I have heard some mixed reviews, but working great for me.

Quick question - when I press the power button, I don't get the gingerbread TV turn off effect. Is that a setting somewhere I'm missing?

TIA

Moved my question to the VM thread that popped up.

Check to make sure you have the screen on/off animations checked under display settings

I've discovered a potential bug here...

After Fixing the Permissions under the BAMF Toolkit, I no longer see people's pictures under the Messages app. (Usually it'll display their Facebook photo, etc.) However, when I go under the 'People' app, their pictures show up just fine. I also use Popup SMS, and people's pictures come with that too.

So my question is, how would I go about fixing the Messages app to where I can see my friends' photos again?

in previous BAMF roms i encountered this problem

if i apply the "recent apps" patch/mod, will i lose QuickSettings?

I did that, but it's still not working. Tried rebooting and battery pull too. Still nothing.

You're talking about the CRT animation correct? Made sure you fully wiped and deleted BAMF extras folder before install? Have you installed any mods, or restored any kind of data to the ROM? Using spare parts for animation settings?

Yes, the CRT animation.

This is my first ROM install. I came from the rooted stock Froyo ROM. I did a full wipe before installing. since it was my first BAMF ROM, I did not have the extra folder before. I'm guessing, I should not delete the one now.

The only mods I installed was the Imos leanKernel, the GB radios, and the VM notification fix. I did restore system data from my Titanium Back Up.

Re: [GB][2.11.605.0][Sense3.0]BAMF Forever 1.0.6

that's a big no-no :) you never want to restore System Data
that is more than likely your culprit

Oh man! Ok, so I guess I'll have to wipe and reinstall. The only reason I did the restore of the system data is I was having a hard time getting my contacts and email accounts back. I'll reinstall the ROM and be more careful.

Basically, I should install the ROM and only restore the applications. Is it best to restore applications from Titanium Back Up or from Google? Or does it not matter?

On another note, should I be running SetCPU with this ROM, or does that cause problems.

All your accounts/apps/ and contacts are easily synced and restored with Google. I use TB for app data, and mybackup for everything else. If you're using Imoseyons kernel, you should not be using set CPU. It has its own built in speed tweak settings

Can some one link me to Imoseyons latest kernal for the T-Bolt?

Thanks Cyber. Ok I deleted the BAMF extras folder on my SD so now I just boot into CWM do all three wipes and flash the 1.0.6, boot up then flash the kernal then boot up and then flash the VM patch?

After flashing the rom boot then you can flash the kernel and VM patch at the same time. Not sure if that is how everyone else does it but I never have any issues flashing kernels and mod together.

Have they released any new radios for the Bolt lately?
