I just checked the status of my submission for the Gear S2, it now indicates 'Fulfillment Pending' (I submitted it on March 14).

long time member.

Some context: My first Android was a HTC Thunderbolt!, next came Motorola Ultra (still using and loving). The S7 looks great and looks like it is going to be THE leader of the pack until next March (or one of the leaders)...so it looks like a safe one to buy. What would get me to do it is the watch....but still unclear after reading the entire thread about:
1. It looks like some folks are getting it in person....but it really appears that it needs to be done online...right?
2. Does anyone have any verification about if the 300,000 unit will be honored or not? I will not do this if I only might get the watch.
3. Very confused on which version we get. Anyone want to take a crack at this again by answering this question: What is the big differences between both versions including ongoing cost....and which one are they shipping?

Going to check in with my local Verizon store on the way home and discuss with them....maybe I will get lucky like someone else posted on this thread and they will hand me both on the spot! I will post what I find out tomorrow!

You missed the ball on this one. They are out of watches according to the Samsung website. If you have been with Verizon for a long long time and never missed a payment, maybe they will somehow get you a watch.

Bummer, I did go into a Verizon Store on the way home. These guys had know idea what was going on so I bailed. It was an authorized carrier, not the Verizon Store I went to. Verizon Chat today says there is no way to know if I might get a watch or will get a watch...if I buy the phone. But I guess it matters not.....if Samsung says they are out!

My only question -- i submitted for the Gear S2 but my email says "Thanks, we've received your Offer claim for The Gear VR Offer!"

... I'm assuming this means I'm screwed? Not sure why it would have switched de novo to the VR from the S2, but I'm not happy about it. Did everyone else who submitted for the Gear S2 get an email confirming submission for the S2 (as opposed to my email?)

Exact same thing happened to me. I Ordered the gear S2 on 3/11 and got a confirmation email about gear VR. I wrote their customer support and asked for clarification. I'll share what I find out.

I really hope its just a blanket email for the whole promotion. I really want the watch.

ok, I have the approved, shipment pending, but the my UPS Choice notification shows nothing coming yet so guess I'm still playing the waiting game

funny thing is, my status on the website was updated, yet I received no emails....

So I wanted to get the Gear S2, I got my approval notice today and it looked like this. So I had to buy my phone somewhere other than the store or online to get the watch? Really? What a ripoff! I ordered online first day preorders were available and submitted 2 weeks ago and selected Gear S2 when I got my phone.
