Google assistant and search only work in wifi

My Google Assistant, my Google Voice search and Chrome will only respond if I'm on Wifi. I'm on mobile network, with full bars and it just doesn't work. It keeps saying something went wrong or no connectivity but I can still use Facebook and other apps with no problems, it just seems to Google is the problem. As soon as I turn on the Wi-Fi everything seems to work perfectly but as soon as I turn it off Google stops working. Any help would be appreciated

Have you tried rebooting? An app cache wipe? A Cache Partition wipe?

Which phone, and which carrier? Have you asked your carrier about this?
