Google Maps update reboots phone

Works fine for me,but I'm still on GB.

Well, I was just on maps, lattidute and places. Things were fine for a few minutes. I then went to navigation and as soon as I exited navigation my phone rebooted.

Oh ... and the update knocked out my lattitude share settings. I see my sister is now at an "unknown" location (she must have done the update) and so I texted her to let her know she needed to go back into her app settings.

P.S. After the last reboot I went back to lattidute and while I was typing, bam, reboot!

It must have to do with ICS. Mine is fine I just used it for navigation.

I don't really agree. I think ICS is very stable. I think it is a bug in maps.

The HTC Sensation is crashing like crazy as well and I think that phone still has GB.

Guess I'm just lucky. I did not uninstall anything. Hope you all get it figured out.

Thanks for the heads up everyone, I'll steer clear of the update for now.

Ugh...no way we're getting Jelly Bean. If they can't figure out how to get Google freaking Maps to work...

I'm having the same problem. For now I'll just use the factory version of Google Maps. I'm just pleased that ICS works as well as it does.

It's fine to update, just need to go in and delete the cache and data under setup/apps/maps. Might need to do that on navigation too. Maps works great after that.

Deleted offline maps, cache, data, still reboots.

Well, I tested my ICS tablet. I ran maps, lattitude, places and navigation and no crashing.

My sister has a Thunderbolt and no crashing.

Sounds like Rezound got the worst end of this stick!

Works fine on my Galaxy S3. Seems to be HTC issue.

I'm guessing it will get fixed soon. Otherwise lots of people will be getting lost and crashing when it shuts down!

Wow, this is such a crazy issue. I'm sure Google can fix it pretty quickly though (hopefully). I will be interested in finding what actually triggers the reboots.
