I just upgraded from an S20 Utra on ATT to obviously the Note 20 Ultra but on Verizon. Does anyone know if Google messages works with RCS on vzw network? Because rcs isn't connecting for me in the messages settings it says: Setting up in orange font but it times out and reverts back to Try again. I also have carrier services installed. Thanks in advanceScreenshot_20200823-130719_Messages.jpg

It suppose to work with all carriers. You'll need to download and install Google Messenger. You download and test it. No harm will come to it. If you don't like it, uninstall it. All your messages will automatically switch.

Google Messenger? Or do you mean Google Messages? If so that's the app I'm currently using/installed

I have it working on my Verizon Note 20 Ultra.

It's worked on Tmobile for almost 8 months. Works great on my note 20. Problem is most if not all of my contacts are on iPhones.

Verizon unlocked S20U, works here. Realistically only about 5 contacts it works with. The rest are iPhone or never connected RCS.

Ok thanks. I think I'm gonna stick with the default app. Google messages is so bare bones its annoying. No pin to top? No customize options..I don't understand why its so plain.

Not sure if this matters or not. I have a Google pixel 4 on Verizon and my RCS chat works fine. My Pixel 3 wouldn't connect and when I had a Samsung device it wouldn't connect on AT&T or Verizon.

It's still not connecting for me for some reason

I had to do the following to get it to work on my tmobile LG G8 and tmobile LG V60 (although I had to install the Carrier Services app on the V60). This proceedure worked for me. I did follow Google's advice to turn OFF Chat features on my G8 before removing my SIM and installing the SIM in my V60. Might give it a whirl if you haven't already.

I followed these steps and noticed Carrier Service was completely greyed out in the app info screen so I couldn't clear it. I continued with Google Messages clear data and force closed it and still I cannot connect to chat features RCS in Google Messages.

I'm not sure what the issue yours is but have you opt in beta for Google message?
