Over the past few years, across several Note devices, I have bounced back and forth between Samsung Messages and Google Messages. Most recently, I've been using Samsung Messages because I like the One UI design that makes it easier for one-handed and it seems to have RCS functionality. I haven't checked out Google Messages in a while. Now, I'm wondering if there are any nice or killer features that I'm missing out on with recent updates on Google Messages. Which would you all recommend?

I have been using Google messages for years and found it to be the best all around messaging app. I get messages on my pixel book and RCS is working great so far very similar to iMessage between two Android users. I used Textra in the past but always ended back with google. I never use stock apps like email or messaging.

I like Google because I can use it on my PC and I'm faster typing on my computer than on the phone. The only downside right now, until I can figure it out, is that I can't get it on my Watch 3.

I prefer Samsung messages, but since at&t doesn't allow rcs to work on Samsung messages I have to use Google messages.

Interesting. I wonder if accessing your messages works with Samsung Messages without having to use DEX.

I prefer the design and functionality of Samsung Messages over Google Messages all day. I think I have RCS on Samsung Messages now too.
