Google Nexus 5 - Missed Calls, Anyone Else?

I assume that the reason we were seeing it was b/c our phones were purchased through Google (thus 'unlocked').

Every Nexus 5 you can buy, even from a carrier is unlocked. Not sure from your wording if you knew that :).

Mine is a Sprint phone purchased from BB.

Hi, I'm in the Uk, and this problem is clearly still happening. The oddest thing is that me and my husband have the exact same phone, (build number the same, etc), on the same carrier, EE, and he gets all his calls with no problem. My issue appears to be that the only calls I actually get are from people in my contacts list- if they are not in there, I get no ringing, no vibrate, nothing. Just a notification later saying missed call.

Something here that may help, it seems to have fixed mine. Hubby had an app (free) on his called Clean Sweep- its like the CCleaner on pc's. Anyway, he downloaded it onto mine, ran it,and now it seems to be working fine. I dialled my phone, from my old Nokia, which wasn't in my contacts list, and the call went through. I've tried it a few times now, and it rings every time. So much so, today I got a wrong number call from someone I don't know! lol. Will keep you updated as to how it goes on.

Mine just did this today. My grandmother and mother called me and my phone went straight to voice mail. I even called on my landline phone and it just rang once then saying I missed the call. After rebooting the phone it then rang when I called it.

Not entirely true; When you get a call and you swipe to answer it will not answer thw call and freeze. You will have to reboot to make calls or work the device, and this you can not miss. This is a software bug that happens on all carriers when LTE is connected. I think the way the phones interacts with other radio bands is the problem, and it's handloing the hand off when answering calls.

i'm on sprint also, & some time ago, i had this VERY issue, & solved it -

[Q] a nexus 5 e.csfb issue | Nexus 5 | XDA Forum

even after the 4.4.4 update, i tested the waters to see if the issue existed still, like 2 months ago, by switching to *home only* from *automatic* in *system select* ;

after the second test call, the freeze reproduced itself..

i promptly switched it back to automatic in system select under mobile networks..

i really wanted feedback in that thread, i was early in my usage of this new, single pathed / multi radio chipset, & wanted to get to the bottom of it, guess the xda crew wasn't the place for it -

"...to sum it up;

on our new triband spark capable phones, does *automatic vs home only* in (change the cdma roaming mode) mean what we THINK it means in relation to it's single chip, single path architect??

back when, in dual pathed phones it MEANT roaming in another provider, when ecsfb, carrier aggregation, spark wasn't a thought..

but these newer triband phone are different beasts, & the effect of the patched worked, fit n finished network of cell sites of upgraded , non upgraded network vision, does toggling automate for smoother performance between these sites on these triband devices, with single paths....?.."

..............

in that same thread, i looked up how UE's handsets play on lte overlayed networks, & tried to un-cover worse case scenarios, that might cause missed calls (not only in cdma, but gsm also) -

I have the same problem.
I've tried disabling LTE and switching to 3G, but this didn't solve the problem.
Then I tried a Factory Reset. Still same problem.
Do you think I should return the phone under warranty?

I am having the same issue with a galaxy note . I have 2 phones on a plan with koodo and this happens with both phones although both are android phones . I read other forums and it seems to be a Google issue not the service provider. I will suddenly have a voicemail . Phone doesn't ring no call log and no notification until a day later with a voice mail
