I wouldn't take the advice of the bullies of that site.

AJ Sheppard is a bully who bought his way to become a moderator. The posts and things I've seen him post on the site to people who asked simple question are point blank insulting. The site point blank takes information published by Sprint and tries to convince you that they provide it. I don't care who respects him, but I'll never will. He's a bully.

It's "Direct Ship" only here in Michigan. I went to a corporate store Saturday, and the manager said they received an email stating they won't be getting stock anytime soon.

So, I called telesales. I was on the EZ pay/One Up plan. I assumed I was going to have to send my Nexus 5 in, but the rep said no. I paid the tax, and shipping, and it should be here Wednesday.

If you're on EZ pay, and are do in upgrade where you turn your current device in, try telesales. There appears to be some glitch where they're not requiring you to send your old phone back.

I'm in the exact situation that you are. I was a One Up customer and upgraded and was told that I didn't have to send my phone in.

Re: SPRINT - Google Nexus 6 release, rumors and conjecture thread.

It's amazing how crazy Sprints network is.. I live in Dallas and this was one of the so called "Launch" LTE cities and between my Galaxy S3 and My Nexus 5 their overall saturation of a major LAUNCH city for LTE was and still is pretty spotty.... My wife actually still has Sprint.. she flat out refuses to leave them out of some blind loyalty to them.... Which is fine... I was with Sprint for almost 15 years and just a quick test drive on T-Mobile shortly after I got my Nexus 5 and went out of contract with them was enough for me.. Their overall saturation of the DFW market is awesome and I constantly crush my wife and her Sprint phone.... There are a few HOT spots with Sprint but even then they are not even close to what T-Mobile offers.

Now the catch is when we drive down to San Antonio or over to Shreveport.... T-Mobile has major markets on lock down.... and pretty much any decently populated area along the way they are awesome... The in between spots? you roam too far out of a densely populated area and T-Mobile data connection is pretty much worthless.. You are basically limited to 911 emergency call service in some of those stretches of highway... Where as Sprint may not be LTE or very fast but they are ten times better on the major highways than T-Mobile... but I do spend 99.99999% of my time well inside the DFW area and in all the areas we live, work and play they are awesome.. My wife can't use her Sprint phone in our back yard.. she has to walk through the house to the front porch to talk on the phone or send text messages...

So it just depends on where you live work and play the most... If you travel I wouldn't switch to T-Mobile....if your stationary in a major market I'd at least test and see how it works in your area..

Or you could get AT&T or Verizon...problem solved! Lol!

yeah but I only pay $30 per month with T-Mobile with Unlimited Data (5 GB at LTE speeds) and Unlimited text.. I only get 100 minutes of talk but with WiFi calling over Google Voice and the fact I rarely use 100 minutes a month you can beat that.... With Verizon it's $75 a month for just 2 GB of data and $15 for each GB over.. I usually use 6 GB per month on average.....AT&T $65 for only 3 GB of data...... For the money T-Mobile is the best deal in wireless.. but only if you spend most of your time in a very solid large Metro area...... I rarely travel outside DFW so the negative side of T-Mobile rarely if ever is a concern and I only spend $30 per month.... (well $33 after taxes and fees)

Any update?

The Moto tech sent me a note late yesterday that he is still waiting to hear back from Sprint. In parallel I went ahead and opened a ticket with Sprint's advanced tech to see about manually adding the IMEI to their system.

I just got a tracking number from my Friday night sprint.com order. Still cant pull it in the UPS system but I believe they overnight.

I did not get an email from them yet, so make sure you are manually checking your order status. The tracking info populated in there at some point today.

Dang it. Are you at least able to play with the phone?

You have to go to Walmart to get the T-Mobile started kit.... They don't advertise it and they only offer it at Walmart stores.. I figure eventually they will phase people off that plan... but $30 a month for unlimited data, text and as long as you can work with 100 cell minutes (I average 60 - 80 per month) it's a steal of a deal... I always buy $100 refill cards at Best Buy just for the reward zone points....... last 3 months and gives you a few bucks extra if you do go over one month (which I've only done once in a year)

Really hard to beat.... They do throttle the crap out of you when you hit that 5 GB LTE limit.... but I've got it figured out to where I am on WiFi a lot anyway and the 5 GB is for when I am out and about.. With Sprint I averaged on 1 GB per month on their unlimited LTE plan...
