Google Nexus 6 on T-Mobile

Re: Got it

Yeah I had to buy a $50 prepaid card which I will sell on craigslist. Sorry I didn't mention it.

But here comes the problem: it won't allow me to tether. This might sway me back to the Moto X. First vanilla android phone to give me static about this.
There is a workaround for the N5 on xda. I'm sure it works on the N6 also when it gets rooted.

Re: Got it

Aren't you the same guy that was bashing on how bad the display and brightness was on the phone? Funny you decided to keep it after complaining so much.

Yeah, but he said on another thread that the one he received is much better than the display unit he saw at TMO

I posted this early today in the "Full brightness" thread:
"I'm happy to report that the one I received today, has a much brighter, better display that the one I played in the Tmobile store Saturday.

So relieved!"

And this in the "To everyone who says the screen is too dim" thread:

If you just use the slider in the pull-down menu, adaptive brightness severely limits the brightness of the screen to save battery - it's sort of an advanced auto-brightness.

I got my hands on a demo unit today and sure enough, it looked a little dim until I went into settings and flipped the switch. It's unfortunate that it's on by default because it makes it an uneven playing field with all the other devices cranked up to their max brightness. At 100% it looked about as bright as my G3 at 100%. I keep my G3 at 70% normally.

Me:
"No. I made sure that that it was off when I tested it over the weekend. and still was way too dim.
The good news is, that the N6 that I received today does not have that issue.
So it might be a problem with some units.
Because how can you explain some ppl think it is excellent, and some other like Anandtech think it is awful.

Re: Got it

Does the screen look any better to you than when you first saw it in the store? Someone posted after that after an update it got better.
You know what, thats right, I did get an update when I first turned the phone on.

Got A Nexus at Tmobile

This phone is beautiful. Lucky for me two stores within a 5 mile radius had them in stock. So big and beautiful... I got a Spigen thin case, but it looks like I will need more protection. I am afraid that I may drop it.

Lol. I played with the phone for 30 minutes. I used every app, settings and wallpaper.
The screen is total garbage. I left wanting to re-buy the N5 that I sold last week.
Not impressed.
Having own the N5 for a year, and played with the N6 for 30 minutes, I can tell you that I rather have my N5 back.
Too late, since I sold it and my N6 is shipping already.

Not wanting to discourage anyone. Just my personal observation.

I played with it also. It is not bright enough.

I'm thinking of refusing delivery since I cannot cancel.

Re: Nexus 6 - Which T-Mobile Stores

Of the 5 TMUS stores in Lexington, KY, two had not heard of the Google Nexus 6, two stores have no idea when or if they will get any, and one store believes they will get some 32gb blues tomorrow but isn't sure.

Too bad Google can't successfully roll out phones like Apple.

Re: Got A Nexus at Tmobile

32 unfortunately. I live on the cloud I guess. So I figured it wouldn't be a problem.

Re: Nexus 6 - Which T-Mobile Stores

Just called a T-Mobile store and supposedly not one store in Wisconsin has a Nexus 6.

Seems to also be the case in Indianapolis.
