re: Google Nexus 6 Preorder Info & Reviews

Is the Google Play store in mid crash / general weirdness for anyone else?

Re: Does preorders really mean instock

It is google, the biggest search giant on the planet and they are literally the worst at launching a phone. You would think now with this being the 3rd time launching a phone on their store they would have a somewhat idea of what is needed to keep things running. If this was an iPhone I would see these issues happening. This is unacceptable from google, and will be interesting to see if they divulge how many "preorders" they actually had or set up. Just another reason I no longer preorder, and then have to wait a month or more to get the device. I will wait until it is in carrier stores, walk in and get one right away.

They can get 1000mbps speeds into homes and make a car drive by itself, they can't figure out a simple online store and realtime inventory tracking.

Go Pens!

They'll be ok. I'm very optimistic. Like the physical play of Despres if he doesn't commit stupid penalties. Downie is a guy you hate on the other team but love on yours. If they can get Scuderi out of there it will help. I'll take Bortuzzo or Pouliot in a heart beat over Scuds slow **** and his weak backhands around the board that always get pinched off.

Re: Does preorders really mean instock

Short answer: no, it probably isn't in stock at all
Long answer: it's not in stock, but it keeps going in and out of stock on the site because they want to make sure that don't have so many preorders that people won't receive their phones for months.

6pm EST going on 7pm EST. this is disgraceful.

re: Google Nexus 6 Preorder Info & Reviews

You'll get it sooner or later. Its just a phone.

People are acting as if their infant had been denied a life saving vaccine. Not like their new toy had been temporarily unavailable weeks before any availability would be a real thing.

re: Google Nexus 6 Preorder Info & Reviews

I'm still going to get it, I'm just pissed that I had it in my cart TWICE and both times it vanished when I tried to proceed to checkout. I know I would have had it show up at my door tomorrow, but this still wasn't enjoyable and I'm still disappointed.

My $700 doesn't mean jack to Google so I'm not going to be a martyr and "vote with my wallet" when the only one getting hurt is me. I want the phone, I'm going to get the phone, but I'm still extremely put off by the crap that went down with the disappearing cart.

come on. the aggravation isn't the wait for the phone - it's the wait to place the order and get it over with before they are all sold out.

re: Google Nexus 6 Preorder Info & Reviews

its really starting to look like thats actually it. they had like all of 20 phones and now theyre out of stock. pretty ridiculous

I'm feeling the same way, it really does look like the handful of people that got it were the only ones in stock. I will probably just hold off until the carriers get them.

re: Google Nexus 6 Preorder Info & Reviews

I am surprised there was not a post on the Google Nexus Twitter. There is a post for the Nexus Player, Nexus 9, even the Nexus 5 release last year.

I keep checking there too. but if it hasnt officially gone live by now, when will it?

Re: Does preorders really mean instock

If it's not shipping until 11/21 then there probably is no stock in stock. They're probably being produced right now in China and part of the preorder process is to let them - Motorola, not Google - shift production between blue/white and 32/64 within the limits of what supplies they estimated about the demand several months ago.

But, hey, don't quote me on it. I apparently know less about how Google and Motorola should do their jobs than you all do.
