The tronsmart while saying it rapid charges, does not actually rapid charge the device. Slowly there are 3.0 amp car chargers leaking out.

Ah the ol Dodge Ram, designed for small men that don't actually use their "work" truck for work!! You wisely left us F250 owners off the list (the F150 is a ripoff) ;-)

Now now, you should know better than to call any non-deisel a real work truck! Even I'll admit that! In my defense I do actually have the long box which I can actually use for more than loading up soccer equipment for the kids or groceries

I believe it's 2.4 amp max. It's decent, I feel my old incipio QC charger charges faster

It should be a good charger. Monoprice's cables are one of the approved ones and their reputation is quite good.

I personally wasn't bothered about quick charging in my car. Infact I wanted to avoid it for less chance of blowing an interior fuse on my car.

As a mechanic I can tell you that a rapid charger versus a normal speed charger will have no affect on the interior 15A accessory fuse. The quality of the charger, however, has everything to do with the fuse blowing. I have had to replace countless fuses because people use cheap dollar store chargers.

Yeah I need one too! I just bought this phone and looked at the USB and brought it into my car and apparently I can't fit it into USB port like other chargers and its hard to look through all the posts can anyone posts some

If you check the reviews on the linked car charger, Benson Leung states that it does fast charge and from either port -- it just cant fast charge two devices at the same time. They do appear to be similar and, despite someone saying otherwise, the LEDs are in the same place. It only appears different because on Amazon it shows the USB-A port on top, on Monoprice it has the USB-C port on top.

Of course, there really are a limited number of designs for car chargers, so even looking the same they could still be different chargers. And, even if they are the "same", they could also be different versions of the same charger; with some versions allowing full power to both plugs at the same time.

I got the iOrange-E C to A cable.

And I bought an iXCC Dual USB 4.8 Amp car charger to use with it.

Charged roughly 25% in 30 minutes. Something close to that anyways. Does not say it is charging rapidly(correctly), but charges fast enough for me.
Compared to rapid charging on the supplied charger I'd say it is charging at 12 Watts(2.4x5) like I hoped it would.

The tronsmart car charger landed a few days ago in my mailbox. Does it not actually rapid charge? Does it charge quicker than a typical car charger?
