Google Pay (Phone Moved Too Fast)

I have a Galaxy S9 and whenever I try to use Google Pay I get an error message telling me that the phone moved too fast. This happens even when I remove my case. This problem occurs with an Ingenico reader (in my company's cafeteria) and a Clover reader (at my local bagel shop).

Any idea why or suggestions? I've tried moving the phone over the readers very slowly (and even tried keeping it stationary over the reader) and it still gives me the error message.

Are you actually moving your phone over the terminal as opposed to just holding the back of the phone against it and waiting for the payment to complete? It sounds from what you've written that you're moving the phone like you would with a Samsung Pay mag strip payment when your phone should be stationery

I've tried it any and every way you can think of.
