Yeah, I remember those days, I still practice this, guess I'm old.
Yes, for orders placed by October 19th.
Just do what I did: cancel and reorder. True, you shouldn't have to and it reflects poorly on Google, but you want the phone and that is the path of least resistance to getting one.
Now another issue with the Pixel 2 XL has apparently cropped up. As reported by Android Police, some Pixel 2 XL owners are receiving their units without an operating system installed on the device. Many folks have been taking to the Reddit forums and the Ars Technica forums to address their complaints and find other unlucky Pixel 2 XL owners.
I’m seeing others that ordered later and are receiving sooner than I am and I’m thinking my mistake was opting for the free shipping as to why it is delayed. (Black p2 64GB) As this model seems to be the easiest one to procure. Next time I’ll pay for expedited. Still have 10 days to go.
I think I figured this shipping thing out. Pre orders are likely being sent in batch shipments and regular orders are being fulfilled from separate inventory. That's just a guess and only thing that makes sense to me.

How did you get it that early without paying for it? Like me and steveg said you either get it 3-4 weeks after you activate or you get a coupon after 3-4 weeks.
Well I canceled my first order, then reordered and it shipped the next day, yet the ship date was listed as Nov 7. So sometimes it ships early while others are still waiting![]()
No phone yet. 3 days of no attempt to deliver. Multiple calls. No return call from local hub. Smartpost reps ain't telling me the whole story. They say that they don't know why they are not delivering. They deny it is lost or stolen.
This has been one hell of a lesson on FedEx and free delivery from Google. It would have been worth the extra money to pay for better shipping. I think that might be the point that FedEx wants to make.
I used to do that. Got in a hurry when I ordered. Found out it would be FedEx so I thought it would be straightforward. I am old. Times have changed. FedEx has changed. Not for the better. I Next time I will ship to Work.Or have items shipped to your work. I've had better luck that way and I don't have to rush home to get items. Items delivered to my home never need a signature. Even $1k phones.
