Google Pixel 2 Messages for Web qr code won't scan

[Android Central Question]

My camera works fine, and I scanned other QR Codes for other things just fine, but when I got to scan the QR code for setting up messages for web, it won't scan or do anything. I moved it around, tried other monitors, tried increasing brightness on the monitor, but it just won't detect it.

Try clearing data cache force stop the camera app.

Welcome to Android Central! If that doesn't help, also try clearing the cache for the Messages app.
