Google Pixel 6/Pro - just over the horizon?

Phone looks great. I would love the pro but fear it'll be too big. Based on that video, doesn't really look like it. Still, I have problems keeping this 20FE in my pockets at times (for lounging attire but working from home, that's everyday apparel lol) and this is bigger so it'll be a challenge. Gonna have to take it for a test drive once it's in stores

I'll be making that same move. Not too worried about the size difference- by comparison, the Pixel 6 Pro is about 1/6" taller. 1/20" wider, and 1/50" thicker. The Pixel 6 is virtually identical in size to the S20 FE, with no dimensional differences greater than 0.03", but there are enough benefits of the 6 Pro over the 6 that I'm pretty certain that's where I'll land.

If that's actually the correct dimensions, this is even better. That means it won't be too big even though I would've adjusted for the telephoto lens anyway. This is looking good though.

So the Pixel 6 Pro is indicated to support fast charging profiles up to 33W, but interestingly the 33W profile is based on 11V/3A, which from what I'm reading is not one of the USB PD profiles (the other 3 'slower' rates of 15W, 18W, and 27W all match up under USB PD). Not sure if it's one of the Qualcomm QC standards, but given Google's exclusion of Qualcomm in this run, that's probably unlikely. This may well reduce the number of options in terms of the fastest charging for those seeking that beyond Google's own, though Xiaomi has a charger delivering 11V/3A that might work.

I'm personally planning on staying away from the fastest chargers simply because more modest speeds work perfectly fine for me and mitigate against unwarranted degradation of the battery by the additional heat from faster power transfer.

They should make the Pixel 6 smaller IMO.. It's too close to the Pro.. But I guess most will enjoy the larger 6...

If there weren't so many differences I'd have happily taken the "small" 6 over the Pro. But with the vast number of differences being alleged, including the pro offering higher RAM, inclusion of ultrawide camera, UWB, higher base storage, QHD 120Hz vs FHD 90Hz display, and 12MP vs 8MP front camera, it's just too much for me to forego the Pro.

Yup totally agree... I'd go Pro given the differences... At this point I'd rather carry the larger phone bc of the specs...

Good lord, how in the world are they packing that much screen into this same size?

Thanks for the info. I use that site a lot when deciding if a phone is too big and didn't realize they already had the comparison posted. Well ****, looks good to me lol. Thanks again

Looks like I won't need to adjust to a different sized phone if I do update to the 6 Pro from my Note 8 as planned. The 6P is basically identical in size to the phone I'm used to for the last 4 years. Sweet!
