Google Pixel 6/Pro - just over the horizon?

I don't see anything listed for the Pixel 6 on Spigen. Maybe they are waiting on Oct 19th to list stuff for it

I have been watching the Spigen site also, nothing yet. Have this on my 5a - Pixel 5a 5G Case Ultra Hybrid - hoping for same for P6.

Same here, keeping an eye on the Spigen site. I have a Slim Armor and Liquid Air for my 4XL and like those cases a lot.

For the iPhone 12 I’ve used the Ultra Hybrid (tougher) and Liquid Crystal (less Fingerprints and sleeker). I can see the ultra hybrid for the Pixel 6 on amazonCA but not the Liquid Crystal. I’m hoping for the latter one. Sure the UH is tougher and thicker but I get triggered ocd by the fingerprints on the back

Try again - it's working fine for me. Nothing really 'new' here that I could find other than confirmation of Magic Eraser, variable refresh 10-120Hz, GG Victus glass, and (different than I recall seeing) wired charging being at 30w, no 33w like previously leaked.

Loving the potential of magic eraser, though the example given wasn't a terribly challenging one, and can't tell if it's filling in the gaps in a lifelike manner.

"Magic Eraser"? Hmmm....I wonder if a certain bald headed genie will have something to say about that.

That would be a good feature especially for low light conditions since the shutter will be slower to open due to a set aperture.

In the case of the photo, multiple photos were taken so in one photo where a person was, the next shot may have had the person further along and the detail behind where the person was in the first shot is known. And so it went for dozens of people walking around and dozens of shots taken.
Same process was done for this photo; people were walking in the courtyard and by the trees; places they were not supposed to be.

If they incorporate features such as this, this phone might just get me interested. Even though I have primarily dropped out of the photo world, barely touching my Nikons on trips, I very seldom take any photos with my 4XL, but possible if the photos were better, I might take more. Might carry the phone more places too.

These are the photos I take with the phone; just a shot to send to friends via email, and you can see that it is lacking sharpness that would have been if taken with a DSLR or possibly a better phone.

Or the occasional shot through a windshield with no worries about oncoming traffic or pedestrians. :D

What gorgeous photos!

I sure hope Speck makes the Presidio Grip case for the Pixel 6 series. They don't offer it for the 5a, maybe because that phone has a limited release. Keeping my fingers crossed for the 6/6pro. It costs the case manufacturer thousands of dollars to have a plastic injection mold made, and jillions more paid to the company that actually does the injection. The case manufacturer often loses it's butt because of less than adequate phone sales, which makes them leary of spending a bunch of money for a new android phone. But of course they make a TON of cases for every model of iPhone. But, I'm sure that Google will offer us some dandy cases.

I'm curious which storage option you all will choose for your P6/P6 pro. I normally pick 128gb for my phones, but since I plan to keep the 6 for quite a while I might go larger.

256GB for me. I have 128 on my 4a 5G but it is my secondary phone and my Samsung has 512GB which is my main phone. But if I get the 6 Pro it will be my main phone and I will need the 256. 512 has been overkill on my S10+

I'm thinking about 256 on the 6 or 6pro. If I'm going to keep the phone for 5 years 128 might not be enough.

Lowest capacity available (which I think is 128GB) will be fine for me. Went with 64GB on my Pixel 3 and 3 years later I'm only at 50% used ... so I don't foresee any storage issues on my end

RAM is more important than storage for me but unfortunately it seems like the 6 will only have one option (8gb)

It's nice to see 128GB starting storage... I'm always picking mid 256GB which tbh I don't use so much of it.. My thinking better to have and not need than to need and not have... Lol

With 128GB now, I'm only using about 53GB for system and app files, and another 20GB for all the additional media, docs, etc, so I'll stick with 128GB.

I know myself well enough to admit that while I'd like to commit to keeping the 6 Pro for the long haul which might justify the step up, I'll be too tempted by an upgrade within 3 years, and don't see myself having an issue with the 128GB storage size within that timeframe. Since most of the cost of that upgrade isn't recouped when the device is sold or traded in, that basically gives me a starting fund in my mind of about $100 towards the next upgrade.

I think I'm going to go with the 256gb myself and not that I need it unless the video capabilities are really good. I had the standard 256gb OnePlus 7 Pro and thought that I would never actually use all that storage until I got to playing around with Filmic Pro shooting videos and boy oh boy I hit my storage warning and I was so surprised. Other than that the 128gb should be more than enough especially with cloud storage. It might come down to price though as I'm not opposed to buying cheap and affordable flash storage solutions from SanDisk.
