Google Pixel 6/Pro - just over the horizon?

It is said that you can run the Google assistant just by pressing the back of the phone.

Actually it's a double tap on the back. The Pixel 5 already has that. Unfortunately my Pixel 4a doesn't. I can't recall if it appeared with A11 or A12 Beta. I'm sure someone with the double tap feature will fill in the blanks.

Yes. I have it on my 4a 5G which is more like the 5 than the 4a spec wise.

I have set mine up for screenshot. But in Android 12 the power button can be used to activate the assistant instead. Which is handy.

I use the Active edge mainly to snooze my alarm in the morning without opening my eyes. Do you know if you can set the double tap feature to do that?

The current options are in that list I posted on the screenshot. So I can't accurately answer that question.

Looking forward to it. Hope it is an improvement over the last few Pixel's. Mostly looking for better video quality.

Didn't know that (as I don't do betas). So if you have that feature selected how do you power the phone down? And is double click to launch the camera still there?

Disappointing that I post an article suggesting Active Edge might be back to only get one a couple days later saying it might not be. Never used that double tap feature so hopefully it's more useful than drawing up from the corner of the screen (hate it).

Overall, everything about this phone seems so dope. I'm worried about the price. Apple's prices for their new phones are very appealing and I'm hoping Google does the same thing. The way the regular Pixel is shaping up, $700 would be a good price point. I just think the Pro (even w/ the better specs and camera) might be too big. Luckily I'm not getting it right away so I'll have a chance to see how right I am via store displays.

I tried the power plus volume up as i didn't know this method myself. And got this screen. Thought I would share it, as the third way is to tell the assistant to power off.
