Thank goodness I have unlimited data. I fell asleep listening to one of the radio stations, didn't need to check on my phone until mid morning. GM played 10+/- hours. I'm speechless... 21.93GB. Can't wrap my mind around that number...

Those are unbelievable. I hope you are using the "feedback" option to let them know as well as on the app reviews.

I load albums to my device when on wifi and then can listen anytime data free.

You can "Pin" your music to your device. If you uploaded your Music to Google Play and then were streaming it you just have to go into My Library > Album and then select the settings for a given album and select keep on device. I would recommend doing that on WiFi and putting your favorites on your device directly. Of course if you have the music in digital format you can load it directly to the device, but this method helps with purchased music from Google Play.

You can do that and then set it only to stream over WiFi, and/or un-check the stream at highest quality. Those changes may help with data cap. This way when you are off WiFi you still have some music on your device and when on WiFi you are streaming the all access music. And if you really want to stream for a bit you can just flip that setting for a while and then flip it back. Of course it kind of hamstrings the streaming aspect, but hopefully some of this helps with the data caps. They need to really work on data compression here. Like they did with Chrome and Images and video.

I think I will use this service as I can stream to my PC all day while at work.

I easily hit my data cap when streaming the same amount on all access as I do on spotify, where I've never had a problem.

I shouldn't have to make tweaks to something that has not been an issue previously in a comparable program.

Google just released an update to help with the data issue. Anybody play around with it yet? Seems like when set to low quality it does a lot better than before, and I can't tell a big difference in sound quality. Haven't had a whole days use yet though. Thoughts?

I can help but notice the sound quality isn't the best when I'm streaming over 3G, at least compared to rdio.

I started my trial for Spotify and Google Music All Access. I like how Google Music looks, and how it sounds with the built in EQ within its settings menu. My biggest gripe is how slow it takes to play, fast forward, and rewind. Spotify plays right away. Google Music always shows the spinning arrow (buffering) prior to playback.
I also hate that I can't search or filter through my playlists using the new version of Google Music. I could on the old version of Google Music. Spotify allows me to perform a quick filter search within my playlists and albums.

If Google doesn't come out with a version for iOS soon, then I will have to go with Spotify. There's no way to listen to Google Music on my iPad.

Why can't you just go to Google music on the Web? It's more functional than the app. That's what I do on my laptop.

I really wish I could love Google Music since it would allow me to replace Pandora, Spotify, and PowerAmp with one app. The thing is it is not good at anything. As a pure music player, it still doesn't have basic features like crossfade, Scrobble, ring tones, etc. As a Pandora replacement it is terrible. Pandora algorithm for creating stations is great. Google seems to simply create a genre mix. Select a 2012 reggae dancehall song and Google music will a Bob Marley song in its mix. Spotify just beats it in every conceivable way. I really want to keep the subscription, but I can't keep compromising my experience when I know there are better options.

The web version for the new Google Music doesn't work on iPad and iOS devices anymore.
It did before they updated it. When I click on the play button, it just buffers and never plays.
I understand you're able to use your laptop, but keep in mind that laptops don't run iOS.

Honestly, I think I'm going back to Rdio. I miss the sound quality on Rdio compared to all access when on 3g. And u like radios look more.

I'll still use Google music for my cloud back up for my music library, though.
