Google Store Trade-in tracker

I'm getting nervous about mine. I mailed it at the PO last Wed. NY to TN shouldn't take a week, and the tracking page on USPS even says it's late. But, because the agent automatically converted it to a standard package from priority mail (because it's a phone) there's less-detailed tracking.

I bet I don't have any recourse to get compensated for the phone if it never makes it, do I? I have video of me packing the phone, including showing the sealed box with the tracking number, and a receipt with that tracking number from the USPS office where I dropped it off.

I'm in the same boat. Mine was supposed to have been delivered yesterday but it's floating in limbo now.

Mine was supposed to land Friday but it was stuck in limbo for 5 days. Finally got and update this morning and it took 5 days to go 100 miles SMH, still a long way from TN

My 2 return packages are now stuck in limbo also. Maybe the Holiday rush is starting to affect the USPS deliveries and tracking? I had 2 different packages go to the wrong city last week and then when they did get to my city they were delivered to the wrong address. Luckily the people that live their at least know my name and were nice enough to bring them to my house. The USPS tracking was all over the place with status updates on those 2 packages and was never correct until the actual delivery. FedEx and UPS tracking seem to be pretty accurate right now, but the USPS tracking website seems to be a little wonky.

While I appreciate their providing the box and label with which to return it, I really wish that they included insurance on the shipping service - or at least allowed us the option of paying the few dollars necessary to properly insure it.

They are responsible if they pay for the shipping if lost or damaged the delivery company will pay.

Mine is being sent back via USPS First Class Package. It's possible that they included insurance on it, but nothing is showing on the label to indicate the same. Priority mail comes with $100 of included insurance, with more being purchasable, so I would be surprised if first class comes with any by default. It's exceedingly unlikely either would take any financial responsibility if insurance was not specifically purchased. I've been burned on trade-ins in the past where one was lost and neither was willing to own it, though that was through a T-Mobile trade-in.

I just got a notification from my tracker that my return was delivered. If they are as efficient with this as my pixel watch return, I hope to see my refund in a couple days.

My trade in was delivered 24 hours ago. Hoping to hear something soon. When I traded in my pixel 2 they lost it even tho it had been received by them. So I’ll be relieved when this is all done and money refunded.

Good luck. My tracker states that mine was delivered last Thursday. They have yet to acknowledge receipt still as of today

Still in transit, even though I dropped off the phone at the post office last Tuesday, it didn't leave Seattle until Friday . Was originally scheduled to be delivered to Tennessee Monday (Oct 24th) but given that it took many days to just start from origin it'll probably take a few more days to deliver.

Sent it yesterday. Also took a video of the phone in impeccable condition, showing it was factory reset, and then literally packaged in the box all in one take.

USPS First Class Package is usually the cheapest option... And it was most likely selected by whatever 3rd party company Googler partnered with to process and buy the trade-ins

Is it just me or does it feel too flimsy just in the envelope and then put it in the box? There's too much wiggle room.

Did anyone else pack with bubble wrap as a precaution?

I bunch up some brown paper and stuff it in the box...

Got my notice that it was received ...Pending assessment...I kinda forgot about it.
