Google wallet error

I get a message "Unfortunately, Google Wallet has not yet been certified in your country or on your device/ carrier/"

I don't know how to fix it.

So what do you all think is going on? Could law suits be on the horizon?

I have a sinking feeling that we will not be getting to use GW.
There are too many software issues with this phone. :(

I think people are reading too much into this. Its likely a problem with GW and the Evo and they are trying to fix it and may have turned it off until its resolved especially if its involves security or transactions or something not going through correctly.

Its my understanding Sprint is the only carrier to officially partner with Google, I can't see them doing that and then shutting things down. Perhaps Sprint's new NFC payment system is related but as others have said the Nexus and other devices don't seem to be impacted.

Who knows, but I wouldn't panic at this point.. this is a pretty new phone/feature/app and issues are bound to come up.

This is completely bogus, it is still being advertised as having Google Wallet on their website.

I guess to them "having it" and "having it working" are two different things. :banghead:

Well at least I got $8 off it before it went belly up.I went ahead and got the Citi MasterCard and it came with a little payment tag that you can adhere to the back of your phone and I guess it works like Google Wallet. You just tap the paypass thingy with your phone and for payments of less then $50 you don't need a signature.Whats the point of having Google Wallet anyway when you can just attach a NFC tag to any phone and it works the same way?

Yes, but how secure is that? At least with Google Wallet,a pin number is required for use. With what you just described, anyone can use your phone to make purchases.

Can you say security nightmare?

On second thought, can I borrow your phone for a while? :p

I see your point.I guess I'll need to get me a big old dog chain and weld it to my hip.LOL! That and bring my malamutes along with me everywhere I go to discourage any borrowing of my phone.:p

OUCH. Your going to weld a dog chain to your hip. What do you have a metal hip or something? ;)

I've been known to set off a metal detector. consequences of a misspent youth.Yes welding would probably sting.maybe stapling would work.Or I could just not attach that nfc tag to the back of my phone.Yeah, that sounds less painful.Think I'll do that.Plus I don't think Olive Garden will let me bring my dogs and the wife is just useless when it comes to security.;)

My Google wallet seemed to be working, never used it, but it showed my $10 balance on the pre-paid card. I went to use it today and it "unfortunately, Google Wallet has not yet been certified in your country or on your device / carrier". Not sure what happened. Anyone else seeing this?

Yup, started getting that message about two days ago, as well.

Just happened to me yesterday. Have been using it successfully until now.

Same message today. I hadn't used it yet but I was fully set up/activated before with my prepaid account linked and a credit card linked already.

Yeah I'm really not happy about this....I was really looking forward to using google wallet. If sprint's mobile payment system is literally just around the corner then maybe that's alright...but only if it works really well and we still get $10 >.>
