Contacting Support - Wallet Help

I'm getting a little pissed off that Google Wallet isn't working. Its (NFC paypass) one of the reasons I upgraded. I called a little angry today and I hope a lot of people do call to let them know their frustrations.

If Gmail went down it would be working in less than 2 hours if not minutes. Its terrible that they are taking this long to fix GW.

Awoke today to see an update for wallet! Woohoo. Now the wording on my "not supported" message is a little different.

Sent from my HTC EVO 4G LTE using Tapatalk 2

Updated Link For Wallet Fix, Now includes Odexed!
If you are rooted, here is a zip for the google wallet to fix it. http://themikmik.com/showthread.php?13731-Patched-working-Wallet
I did it and I'm good to go, worked on my kid's EVO as well.

Update: If you allow wallet to update in the market, it stops working. Uninstall updates and do not allow auto updates in market and you will be fine.

The fix looks great, but can you "never" install updates? As in, later down the road when google adds more features (assuming they get it working officially for the evo)

This has been really annoying, I think they should give evo users a $25 credit instead of $10 when they finally get it up and running.

Didn't one of the first Google wallet supporting phones on sprint (I want to say the galaxy nexus) come with a $50 credit for new users? I'd love for that to come back, haha

It is not just the EVO 4G LTE, it is happening to the SGIII as well. It just might be a ICS problem if you think about it.

Maybe i am missing something. I know NFC payments are a benefit of Google Wallet, however the number of retailers that accept this are few and far between. So why is it a huge deal we dont have this working on our phone yet? Don't get me wrong, it is annoying when a benefit of the phone doesn't work, but i dont see this as that big of a deal right now. I am loving this phone!

But it did work on the EVO 4G LTE until just after the official release date when Google shut it off. That's not an ICS problem. Many people used it that preordered the phones and got them early.

Well I thought no reason not to call. Guy knew right away about the EVO issue, said he has taken several calls on it himself. Asked about the TOS that says money will be taken from account if not used. He said until its fixed, no money should be taken out of the accounts, but if that does happen to call and it would be refunded.

Got an email a bit later saying they were working on the technical problem and would update when fixed
