Interesting, they jumped through some hoops to sell you one.

BTW your sales tax is outrageous. What is that...something like 15%?

Here in HI its 4%

Is that the Galaxy SKU number that they wrote down? When I went, they had the product in stock and brought it out but I think when they tried to scan it, it wouldn't show up which is why they had to call the Verizon rep which told them they can't sell it. If I can show them your receipt and they understand hopefully I'll get lucky.

no they manually wrote in another sku and seems they will be in deep for doing that since the phone wasnt meant to be sold yet which is why they had to put some random sku in.

This is crap............................. Every store I goto tells me the same stuff even after i show them a receipt. This is prob all a masterminded plan between Verizon and Google to get the Hype up even more...

The sku wasn't active in their purchasing system but they see it as available to sell in their inventory system. Since there was Jo "street date" in the inventory system they had no problem selling it and said they won't get in trouble. He knew it wasn't available at Verizon stores yet. But yeah he charged me for the razr but then he did something on his end to balance out the inventory then he wrote the real sku number on the receipt in case in need to return.

How's the phone?

oh my god those best buys are screwed

I think that the employee, or employees involved are also screwed. I would imagine using dummy sku numbers to sell an electronic device is frowned upon.

I wonder if the folks who managed to get the device would feel any remorse for people if they lost their jobs over this?

Ya right. They all knew they were trying to screw the system.

I doubt it. They probably only care that they have the device, or they would not have went in and bought one when they knew full well they weren't meant to be sold.

left coast socialism in action. Residents leaving the state in droves...

In CA, not only do we have a sales tax on things like this, but on electronics we also have an electronics disposal tax... err fee that we have to pay as well.

Yeah and they charge tax on the retail price for Verizon phones not the contract price.

Why should someone feel sorry for anything that might happen to bb?

I think the responsibility is solely on the bb and the mgr and employees. If they doing stuff like entering dummy skus they knew they were doing it irresponsibly.

If they were in their right mind they would say sorry we can't sell. But that wasn't the case.
