I added the verizon apn settings like how my stock rom is and now mms won't even send so I'm lost now

Before with the version I got from here I tried clearing the caches and permissions in safe strap to no avail.. Only way it would send pictures was if I went thru the gallery app held the photo n sent it that way not if I opened up the messaging app and sent it via that it would not send..it didn't bother me cuz they would at least still send. I could only recieve mms if I sent it to myself but anybody else it would give me the notification but in the messaging app it was invisible... After adding the verizon apn settings like on the stock rom I am unable to send or recieve and from my research everything points to a sim card malfunction (which we don't have or use except if we want to use 4g) and apn settings which I've triple checked and r exact to those in stock rom. I can't figure it out esp.. With the fact I added the verizon apns n now nothing with mms works

I diety flashed the rom to get your apn settings back went back into the rom reset all the apn setting back to your defaults went to safe strap fixed permissions cleared the caches and fixed permissions again, and rebooted sent an mms and did recieve one so idk what orwhy it worked this time but it seems to b working at the minute so fingers crossed

First timer rooter here - I have the XT908 on Alltel and I can't even find anywhere to start learning the process of how to root and put JB on my phone. I was wanting to wait for the official Alltel update to JB, but that doesn't look like that is going to happen. If I could get some assistants in this situation I would be greatly appreciated!! I'm afraid that I might brick my phone and definitely wouldn't know how to restore it back to stock!

Tonight I'll try and have the lastest CM10.1 build for the following carriers, Alltel, nTelos, CellCom, Thumb Cellular and Nemont, uploaded. I'll probably use the Alltel build for the base and have patch zips for the other carriers.

How hard would it be to add another, very small, regional carrier? Element Mobile in Central Wisconsin?

It is my phone number I believe. I usually check them via notifications but it will show in the log as calling my own number. Sorry I didn't see this until now. I installed the cm 10.1 for XT 912 and it's working but about phone thinks I'm on Verizon. I had to change mobile data settings to cdma/evdo and NV. It all works but it thinks I'm not connected to data but I actually am. Would love to have it all work as it should.

Anyone know if this method will work with our phones to update to official JB? How to update you Razr (Gsm) To Official Jelly Bean - xda-developers
The instructions are for a GSM RAZR but if we were to skip the part with the GSM patch I would think it would work for us.

I just tried calling my voicemail and both *86 and my 10 digit number worked. Not sure if that means anything to you. We used to be Alltel and could have been Verizon but a new regional carrier was formed. Basically still the same technology. 4g coming sometime this summer. Thought the history info might help you. Thanks for taking your time and helping me out. Greatly appreciate it.

Stock rom is my phone number. The *86 was in the cm rom. That makes sense now. Lol. Thanks! I will give this a try and let you know.

@Craptorman thank you! The ROM is installed and all the apps are downloading as I type. VM is all set and data worked right away. About phone reports all the correct info. CM is already telling me about the 10.1.2 update. If I take that do I loose the patching you have done? If so I will avoid it. Thanks again!

I believe you will lose all the mods I have done. I may be wrong tho, have not tried. Nightly builds are always the latest so all the latest commits are there that are in 10.1.2. Also make sure MMS works fine. I think I found the right info for carrier.
