Got the 2.11.605.5 OTA. Here's what's NOT fixed:

Thanks, Al. That's not an entirely bad idea, especially if at least one person (you) saw some benefit. Certainly can't hurt, right? Just need to set aside the time to put everything back together. And as I recall it, Google does automatically re-download and install all apps .... Hmm. I may very well do just that. Thanks - I'll let you know how that goes.

Greg

Well, in my case, the Market autodownloaded some of my apps but not nearly all of them. And I can't explain why some came down and others didn't. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it.

But, on the upside, it gave me the chance to think about what apps I wanted back on the phone and what stuff I really didn't use.

As for your skin issue, I've heard of GB breaking some Froyo skins. I can't recall the details, but I definitely read that somewhere.

It actually breaks all of the non-stock skins - at least in my experience. But the good news is that almost all of them are available for GB by the developer over at XDA (whose name now escapes me, forgive me!). I have back all that I need, but the it's on those GB-compatible versions that the ghosting suddenly appears.

Add this...

The pause dialing to add your PIN to the *86 for Voice Messaging does not work.

Spent a bit of time on the phone with Tier 2 at Verizon, who in turn called HTC.

According to HTC, this is a known problem and they are not sure when they are going to fix it.

Nothing like going backwards in features and functionality.

Simply AMAZING!!!

But - it looks as if the pause does work on other speed dial programs - or at least it seems to here ...

I got the update last night. It DID NOT fix my stock email sync issue. I have 6 emails and only the gmail account started back up again this morning after the non-peak period. I manually sync'd and then 2 of the other accounts (Yahoo) started syncing. The others did not. I Deleted one of these accounts and re-added it to see if that will get it right.
On the up side Id swear my speaker volume got Louder?

One thing that still seems to be broken that no one seems to mention is the snoozing of calendar reminders. The initial reminder always pops, but hit snooze and it never comes back. Started that with the first "upgrade" to GB and still persists.

The car dock seems to work fine for me, but I never had a problem with it. Don't know about the desktop dock.

I was able to add the pause and my password to the #1 speed dial just this morning.

Damn, I keep forgetting to mention my email issue here. My email will not sync while I'm connected via WiFi. Works fine in 3G, but will NOT update automatically via WiFi. That's been since the first GB OTA too.

For me, two things.

- Notification bar ghosting when using some 3rd party skins (not present in Froyo)

- Sound volume significantly lower

(I tellya, I'd go back to Froyo in a heartbeat if it were available to a non-root.There's just been NO benefit to Gingerbread for me at all).
Are you still using froyo skins or did you go download ones for built specifically for gingerbread?

I've never encountered any e-mail syncing issues. I use the stock mail client, which is connected to an Exchange server. I also have a Gmail account and a Yahoo account that is checked by their dedicated client software. I occasionally have issues with it, but I attribute that more to Yahoo's buggy software than to anything else.

For me, I'm good so far. And I'm almost certain that things are working better overall after my factory reset last weekend. I have still had some issues with the phone not picking up cellular data when it's been sporadically connecting and disconnecting from a marginal wi-fi signal, but I haven't done any testing since today's update, and I can't really reproduce the issue at will anyway.

Another I thought of did they fix appointment widget so that after time passes it clears won't know till tomorrow if that is fixed

Have not received the update. When I go to software update and select "Check new" a pop up comes up that reads "Software Update - Checking for new software available now". Then the pop up disappears and nothing happens. When I select "Status" all of the fields are blank except for Source: Verizon Wireless

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I still have the Voice Mail app icon displaying as a second messages icon in the app drawer. I'm very close to giving up and rooting.

Everything's a go!

I like the new notification bar, and the various changes.
Seems to run a bit faster thus far, no comments on battery life yet.

Since so many of my issues are NOT shared with others, I'm really looking forward to doing the reset now, especially because I haven't experienced the battery life and pretty screen benefits either.

Heres what I have noticed. Gtalk video acts like its calling out, but my wifes phone never rings, and then I get disconnected from data for a long period of time

Everything is working for me. My Thunderbolt has never failed me in anyway, very happy with it thank you.
