Grading the Galaxy S4 so far

How would you grade your Galaxy S4 so far? Whatever I get, I'll be shelling out the full amount so I can keep my unlimited data on VZ so I want a phone where I have few if any regrets or frustrations. I'm looking for phone speed (not network speed - phone speed), capacity to bounce from app to app, high and smooth data usage (I stream a LOT of music), reliability, lack of persistent bugs, battery life, etc. I plan on rooting so I can freeze the bloatware and use wireless tethering.

So - how do you grade it so far? Recommended? And what do I need to know or consider before forking over my firstborn?
