[GUIDE][8/1] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

Re: [GUIDE][7/6] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

512 works on some devices, but not all. Sometimes it's too aggressive. My suggestion is to try both and see if you can handle/like the 512 GPU one.

Just loaded 512, tweaked and it seems to be running sweet thus far. Thanks for the excellent suggestion!
Any recommendations on OC levels with this kernel for this ROM/Kernel bud? I pushed mine to 1305MHz OC initially and all seems well. Any suggestions, SHOULD I PUSH MORE!?! LOL
You KNOW that I want to try man! ;-)

Re: [GUIDE][7/6] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

you can go higher just make sure it is NOT set on boot - bc if you start loopin and it's set on boot you're gonna have to jump thru hoops to get back to normal.

Re: [GUIDE][7/6] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

So earlier I had reported that my music player keeps pausing my music. I really hope someone came across my problem. Can it be from the ROM?

Re: [GUIDE][7/6] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

i have tried half a dozen times to downlaod gets to different percentages then stops any ideas? 2.5 that is jb from the link in the sticky so i am guessing battery life is much better on 2.5 with the deep sleep?

Mine did that with franco kernel. Switched to trinity and it's fine. Or, if it has sound control (and franco's does), take it from 3 to 1 in his app.

Also, from the Jelly Belly dev jakeday:

Go to settings -> sound -> music effects and make sure it's set to dsp manager. Then, clear the cache for the dsp manager app, and open the dsp manager app again. Check that it's correct for you, and you should be good.

i kept getting bad downloads with 2.5. actually, i had deleted all the old roms from my sd card like a boss, flashed the jb bootloader and wiped data, when i found out my jelbel2.5 dl was corrupted :( but i got a good download from the second mirror i believe, and adb pushed the rom to sd card while in recovery.

i was dl'ing on a computer btw, you might want to try that.

and check md5!!! or keep a jb nand/ or rom in your back pocket :)

Quick question, can Jelly Bean open apps from the lock screen? This is the only thing holding me back from flashing it.

Re: [GUIDE][7/6] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

I haven't flashed the new bootloader yet. My boot times are fairly quick, as fast as 4.0.4 at least, even to by my impatient standards.

So if the only advantage of the JB bootloader is boot speed, I feel I don't need to mess with it.

Goind to wait for source to drop, then make a decision.

Not yet, although I need to brush up on the mods available, so I'm not 100% certain.

Also, wiping my phone and doing a clean install of 2.5. Have the time today and figure why not :).

i think i might have to do the same dm. currently on 1.9 and loving it, but need to step my game up!

Re: [GUIDE][7/6] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

Just got 2.5 on my phone and it's my first Jelly Belly Rom. Quick question, Why did they separate the Google Apps?

to comply with google's policies. google apps arent supposed to be included with roms.
there was a whole cyanogen thing over this. :)

btw, 2.5 is running a little sluggish compared to previous versions, even axiom engage.
using francos 216 linaro, 384, oc'd to 1300, on demand.
switching btwn nova and stock launchers to see which is smoother. they're the same. neither are blowing me away.
trying a reboot now.

That's the legally appropriate thing to do :).

Also, for those with sound issues, here's exactly why (pausing issues, mainly).

Just finished setting up my phone. Using Nova now so I can save stuff and be quicker about with the clean flashes!

Re: [GUIDE][7/6] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

Has anyone tried the T9 dialer yet? Thinking of flashing it. If anyone does, got a pic of how it looks? Is there any issues?

It was a bit sluggish for me when I loaded it this morning, cleared up after a reboot or 2, haven't noticed any sluggishness since.
