[GUIDE][8/1] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

Re: [GUIDE][7/6] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

Ya, but what if I wanna go back to one of my "old" JB ROMs? (Jelly Belly 2.5). Then what? would it hurt anything?

Last I read, no one has tried this. I would not want to try it myself.

Going from JB to JB is no issue. Going from JB to ICS on the JB bootloader could cause issues.

Coolio, thanx. Will do install it in a few, see how it goes.

Is anyone else's app's not restoring after flashing 3.1 or did I do something wrong

Wow that thing is fast. Restoring apps now, but very impressed with the speed of this version

Re: [GUIDE][7/6] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

Are new radio files included with the Jelly Belly 3.1 build? Or are they available in general outside of the build?

Re: [GUIDE][7/6] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

Ok so I see the new 3.1 rom, new gapps, and the JB bootloader.
I also see the JB tansparent search .zip, my verizon.zip and maps.apk.
has anyone either flashed or installed any of these? do they work?
should I just take the maps off play.goggle?
I am still waiting for the general population to say its "bug free"
can I flash all of this at once after a clean wiping?
JB bootloaded, than rom and gapps and so on or should I wait to do the other zips like myverizon, search and maps.
Just don't want to have any real issues.
Downloading files at work will try to do tonight when I get home and see what else gets posted about these files.
Enjoy the day all.

Has anyone tried anyone of the add ons to Jelly Belly 3.1 yet. Just want to know if they work. I'd like to try the t9 dialer.

I've considered it but didn't feel like taking any unnecessary risks this morning, of course I could change my mind at any time.

EDIT: The 2 I installed seem to be working, those 2 were the Power Menu Reboot Options mod and the Fast softkeys, new circle battery, white clock and all the rest in that mod.

Has anyone gotten the WiFi tether to work yet? FCs every time I try to open it. One user suggested to update busybox and SuperSU, which i did, but to no avail. I'm sure there will be an update to fix it soon enough but it would be nice to know I can tether my iPad if i have an emergency for work.

I miss read. I saw on rootzwiki that this was an issue still. I am using a 3rd party teather app and it functions great.

which app are you using? is it one of the free ones?

EDIT: Just saw this on rootzwiki: "Hard to keep up with this thread, built in wifi hotspot forced close if I tried to hit the checkbox in settings but using power control I can toggle on and off just fine and it works. Using it now to type this. I saw something about a fix 10-15 pages back. Anyone notice similar behavior?"

I downloaded a power control widget and just confirmed that this workaround does indeed work for the built in hotspot. Very interesting.

Re: [GUIDE][7/6] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

Morning ladies and gents:

I will flash one of two roms today. Either Th3ory's latest (b/c I can't stay mad at him) or Bugless Beast.

That is all. :)

(I still plan on fixing mine, but alas, I want to see what a real dev can do!)
