hey dmmarck I think you should update the OP when you get a chance... A lot has been changed and release since your last updated... it would be nice if we could keep the OP as updated as possible.
Just a suggestion

It's on my list of stuff to do once work dies down :-\.
is 3.3 safe?
At the risk of dmmarck rolling his eyes, I was wondering whether I can just flash a new nightly of a ROM that is already installed without all the wipes. I am on BB, which is a 4.1.1 AOSP build, and he just did a new nightly tweaking a couple of minor things. Can I get away with just flashing the thing?
No worries, let know what you do and if you like it. There's always a way to go back!
Flashed both and so far no problems and running smooth as butter

I installed 3.3 this morning and it seems to be working fine. had a spot of trouble with trinity kernel, but that resolved quickly and has been really smooth sailing ever since.

A dangerous mixture of caffeine, nicotine, alcohol, and enthusiasm.
I had a random reboot on trinity yesterday, but it was while screen was off and it was streaming Spotify. Upped the screen off CPU mhz and it's been all smooth sailing...
.
Nope, Google backup....Wait, you mean the Verizon app?
Nope, Google backup....
when i go into the Backup & reset options, i cannot choose to use my Google account to back up data. Had same issue with 3.1, thought it would be fixed

Just flashed Bugless Beast:
Bugs so far (lol) - 5ghz networks are unfindable. Past that, it seems to be fine. Market Restore IS working.
Is market restore only working on Bugless

I didn't clean flash Jelly Belly 3.3 so I have no idea if it works there or with Kejar's build. But it does work with this.
You still have to go to Google Now settings to download the offline speech pack (so that speech works), but past that and the WiFi issue it's solid as a rock. Feels well done, smooth, and professional.
I tried Kejars and market restore did not work, I may have to give Bugs run

Just be aware you have to go get the offline speech pack (language of your choice) in Google Now => Settings => Voice. Then Now works like a charm.
As always, thank you sir
Edit: are the gapps included in Bugless or flashed separately

What's the consensus on JB kernels - any that are absolute no-go's and any that are a must?
I love Franco and his app, and would prefer to stay with him due to the great screen coloring/altering options, but of course performance and battery are more important than screen tweaks.
