Don't try to do anything, it's still copying, note the screen shot and seconds it took for the transfer:

i got a phone call and had to unplug my phone ,damnit!

im going to reboot my phone again and try all over just incase it messed up

ok i see the keys at the bottum but what do i do with them next?

^^ what the hell did that just say

It's just that it backs up the 4G keys to your sdcard.

You don't need to do anything with them, they are there just in case they get erased.

how do you guys temproot?

Ive tried using z4root 1.3 on my evo and it says its been temp rooted, but when I go to titanium backup it says there is no root access. I have also tried downloading and installing busybox from titanium backup.

Are there any other ways?

I basicly just want to backup all my apps and settings so after the root I can return the phone to where it was before being wiped clean.

If that is your goal, using Unrevoked3 is a lot faster & simpler process that will give you root without touching any of your current data.

You need to follow each step 100%. That is why they are there.

Do you have more than one instance of ADB running or any programs running on your computer talking to your phone? Like DoubleTwist, etc? If HTC sync is up and running in the lower right of your computer, right click on it and exit it.

Your commands aren't being executed properly.

ok i figured out what was wrong.


now im on 18. 18. Select Flash zip from the recovery menu and choose “unrevoked-forever.zip”, after installation is complete, select Power Off.

i can't move nothing on my phone at the moment after i renamed the files.

it shows the evo and a red triangle sign on front and under it says

Build: Not Set
enabling usb-ms : .

USB-MS ebabled!
Press power to Disable.
and return to menu
