I am not sure if i am looking in the right place, but i did see a couple $.

so i am trying to get froyo....

So I am following the instructions on this thread and I get up to post #5, step #4.

My screen says:
Andriod system recovery <2e>

Samsung Recovery Utils
-for BML-

reboot system now
apply sdcard:update.zip
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition


I am able to hit apply sdcard:update.zip with my home button, and then I get the following message:

--Install from sdcard...
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Verifying update package...
E: failed to open /sdcard/update.zip (No such file or directory)
E:signature verification failed
Installation aborted.



Any ideas/help would be greatly appreciated!:'(

Nevermind, It finally worked, I am rooted! Thanks for all your help. Now I just need to figure out what to do with it...

everything rebooted automatically like it said in the post so i am assuming it worked correctly

no it didnt take , because you should boot directly into red clockwork recovery

i just realized that I was trying to flash the 2.9.1 patch without having 2.9.

yep, all the files pushed, 8hundred something of them i think it said

can you boot up your phone and make sure the file you want is on your sdcard and not in any folders

Still struggling. I can't get clockwork to download. "device not found" my process on page 17 is no longer working & I even found some mac drivers to install & that hasn't worked either. Is there a way to down load clockwork directly into the phone & bypass the mac. Mac's just don't work with samsungs

I haven't had any trouble whatsoever with my mac connecting to my phone. What OS version are you running?
