gun bros...choppy

There are times that I play gun bros and its smooth. Other times it gets choppy and laggy. Anyone else play the game that gets this? I'm not rooted yet...due to being stuck at a certain step so flashing a rom and overclocking is outta the question for now. Im running 3.2 xoom Wi-Fi
