I think the compression DRC (dynamic range compression) is better. When toggling the software features ON/OFF while listening to music on the theater system and ear buds, you can hear the difference. It replaces BoomSound software, but IMO, the HK software is better.

All you have to do is flash it via recovery. There is one for s-off'd M8s and one for s-on M8s.

I tried doing the whole HTC Dev thing of my mac (yes there are mac instructions on the site) but it kept getting me an error. so I just gave up.

Good to know that the software is already in the existing ones. HTC and sprint just need to enable it via a software update.
