Has anyone dropped their Note 3 yet?

Is it really possible to use note2 cases with the note3?

It depends, my Cruzerlite Note II case worked on my note 3 and fit okay , but limited access to ports and buttons . The headphone jack was off center. I could use it if I pushed the case a little. The volume and power buttons were off. The flash and speaker was covered. Camera was in the right location. S Pen could be used. Overall I wouldn't recommend it, unless in extreme situation. In my case, I wasn't planning to get the Note 3 for a while to wait for the price to go down however Verizon offered me the note 3 on releases day for $90 so I bought it. My Verizon store had 3 cases which were expensive and I didn't like them, so I temporarily used my note 2 case for a few days.

I'm sure some Note 2 cases can be used (mostly the pouches and what not), on the Note 3. I'm willing to bet that my leather pouch is mostly a universal pouch since the Note 3 doesn't exactly fit real snug.

And, I dropped my phone today for the first time, just off the nightstand and the USB cord was on it, so maybe the cable helped break the fall a bit. No real damage, even though it hit part of the nightstand's corner.

Dropped mine last week getting out of the car. Didn't notice until the next day that the screen had a small crack in it. Fortunately, it's in the upper right corner and it only slightly cuts into the viewable screen. I called Samsung and they quoted $216.49 to fix it. This is cheaper than any full screen replacements I've found online to do it myself. I also don't think I'd want to go through the hassle of peeling just the glass part off and replacing just that ($20-$30 for the part). Everything still works so I'll be living with it for now.

What kind of case were you using?

Cruzerlite case. Yesterday, I received the Caseology one from amazon for 3 bucks. I'm liking it more for the feel/angles and stiffer lip. I'll keep the cruzerlite in the car for adapting to my tetrax mount.

It is according to what kind of case..I have a fitting case on the Note 3, and I put that case inside a wallet type case made for the Note 2.. Double protection for me.

I had that case on my s3.the metal kickstand interfered with the signal strength a little bit. Made a difference for me as sometimes I am in marginal signal areas

Did it? I haven't noticed anything bad yet... Also is it metal? Doesn't seem like it... But they could have changed it from the S3 one.

The link to Amazon.com you provided indicated metal kickstand. It wasn't a huge difference. It really only mattered when you were in a marginal area, and even then only very slightly. But when you are in a poor signal area, it can mean the difference between a very weak signal and no signal.

To note, on the tmobile version, the main lte radio is at the bottom.

Filed an Asurion claim (I'm with Sprint), last Monday. Just got off the phone with them. They are now quoting me 7 to 10 business days from today, before I will receive my replacement. I pay $11/month ($254.00 over a 2 year period) AND a deductible of $200 per claim. I'm seriously thinking it's not worth it.

its only worth paying for the first couple months, cause by then you can pick them up used for a decent price.

Just want to report, in the last two days, I have dropped my Note 3, FOUR TIMES!!!.

As always, it is in a case.

First fall, from my chair at work, about two feet. It had bumper case and clone tempered glass. Phone survived perfect.
Second fall, in my kitchen, this time it is doubled cased, with a bumper case, and a wallet type case, along with the clone temp glass.. Not handling the phone, just moving something, and knocked it off the table. About a 3 feet fall. Phone survived perfect.
Third fall, in a car, slipped from my hand on the floor. In bumper case, and clone temp glass. Phone survived perfect.
Fourth fall, in a restaurant, took it out the wallet case, looked the other way, it slipped out my hand to the carpeted floor. In bumper case, and clone temp glass. Survived perfect again.

It was the Casology leather bumper case on it. I really don't like the exposed buttons on this case either..It looks good, and nice protection, but on those falls supposed it had fell, and hit an edge with the exposed unprotected buttons. I could have suffered some damage, as this would have been a hit on the bare phone..Most of the cases I have, cover the buttons, this one does not..

Anyway, no way, I would carry this phone without a case... :D

Dropped mine 4 times this week in its UAG case. Not a scratch; nothing, not even on the case dropped on concrete from 4 ft.

Dropped mine 2 times at knee level while im on bed with sview cover... no scratch at all . Like nothings happened... i will never let that happen again lol
