Just got the tab s a week. I am new to android. One issue I have been dealing with is every time I hit the back button it scrolls me to the top of the page. This has has happened on both my Internet app and mobile reddit. I click a link, it takes to the new page. I hit the back button and when that loads it takes me to the top of the page and I lose where I was.

Hello i have just purchased the tab s 10.5 16gb model from walmart earlier. I am also new to this site as well

My question is this

Can you have multiple tabs open on the browser at the same time? like for example when i use my pc i would open a tab and go to youtube or some other site and listen to music then i would open another tab and start browsing the web. So while i am browsing the web i am also hearing the music from the other tab. I actually tried this on my old 3rd gen ipad and it works. I figured with the stats on the Tab S 10.5 there would be no problem doing the same on it. However when i started a video on the youtube website then opened another tab and went to it the video stopped on the previous tab. Kinda confuses me how the ipad with 1 gig ram can do it but the Tab S with 3gigs ram cannot.

Maybe someone will have a definitive answer. But I just tried with 3 browsers and could not get Youtube to keep running (Chrome, Firefox and Dolphin). That does not mean it can't be done. I also tried googling the concept but either my search terms or..... did not get any hits.

Found a solution. .... somewhat.
If you use the multi window, and bring a browser up, and then bring another browser up this will work......just run youtube in one browser, maximize the other browser, and use the maximized browser to surf the Web with. I know that it's not quite what you were looking to do, but it does work.

There's also a "browser" that allows separate windows on the screen and they can run separate url's at one time. Overskreen. I have not purchased it but discovered this in my googling around.

I've noticed that my screen freezes on occasion and is unresponsive. The only way to return control is to turn the screen off and back on. Had anyone else experienced this?

I just got mine a week ago. In the middle of downloading a movie, it froze up. Nothing happens when I press or hold any of the buttons. Is there a reset?

Press and hold the Volume UP and Volume DOWN and Power button at the same time, 10 seconds. Tablet restart.

I am trying to access an educational website for one of my children and it does not allow me to enter the website after I attempt to sign in. it states, you need to install macromedia flash player. spoke to Samsung customer support and they cannot help me. They suggested to download a flash player app from playstore. also, adobe flash player is not currently being supported by Samsung.

Any suggestions about a flash player.

I use Sandisk extreme Class 10. The GB is the amount of storage and class is your speed. 64GB will give you a ton of storage and a Class 10 will give you the speed you want. Hope this helps!

Which carrier do you have? Verizon has an app called Verizon messages which is great for texting on the tablet. Also your Tab S is compatible with Sidesync. Is maybe your S3 not compatible??

I -THINK- Open Settings, Device Tab, MULTI-WINDOW - turn it off!! If that is what you are referrring to as Task Pane.

-And this is a real ****ed up question, but i cant write the question in a proper way, but here we go:

Here in Denmark,
If you buy this tablet from November 1. to Januar 31, you will get 6 months of Netflix for free.
All you have to do, is download "Samsung uPick", choose country, and then "activate" it.

When I got have the App and sign in, i could choose the "Free Netflix", and so on..
-It works !!!

But my question is :
My girlfriend just got the same tablet (And i got it rooted as soon as she got it), and she cant find the "Free Netflix"-Options.
-She got something about VPN o_0
(i tried format the tablet, twice.)

i can still see the "Free Netflix" on my tablet, but it say is already activated.

i just called Samsung, and the place i got the tablet.
-They know **** and wont help.

I talk to some who is more into the tablet, and told me to change the .. Device ID / Unique ID... something something.
-But how the hell can i do that ?

Google cant help me, or maybe i am just stupid to find stuff

Do you now a way to change the ID?
-That would properly help

I'm fairly new to Android and I really don't know the terms for the various "windows" and/or similar. There's the page or pages that come up when I press the "Home" button. Then there are the page(s) that show up when I press the icon on the lower right (the grid of small squares) that shows ALL my apps. I guess I should get down the terms since, I've, too, asked questions and don't know how to refer to some of those THINGS!
