* Update * it seems that extended battieries are 1/2 off through December at stores. Just bought one for $29.99!

I will purchasing the Rezound real soon. upgrade is next month, but will try and get them to let me do an early upgrade. (fingers crossed)

I got a big black advertisement booklet from them in the mail yesterday. Inside was a business card coupon saying I could upgrade early. Going to use it Friday.
what is the rating of the extended battery? Wonder if it is needed instead of the standard battery?

Well I found out how I got mine for so cheap, the ****** at the store renewed my contract without telling me...
I started getting emails about updated documents on my Verizon account. So I logged in and started reading them and they were new contract agreements etc.
So now I have to call Verizon and reem someone a new one and try to out what the heck happened. Im hoping not to have to reem someone... :-\

Switched from Sprint/Samsung Epic 4G to Verizon/HTC Rezound yesterday.
I wanted faster data speeds, and without exaggeration I can say that they are 100 times faster on Verizon LTE. For example the only thing I could reliably do at my gym before was a little texting, but now I speed test at 16Mbs in there. Apps can be downloaded in seconds.
I like the phone, it's not too heavy or thick for me and has an understated look. Wanted a changeable battery so the Razr was out. I bought an extended battery for 1/2 off the $49.99 sticker price ($59.99 in their computer though?) while I was there. Need an external charger and other stuff like the output adapter, time to shop ebay and Amazon. We'll see on battery life, just need some more experience with the phone but doesn't seem too bad so far. One plus (or minus) is that the phone sits in the car on the charger while I'm at work so not only is it not being played with but it's charging, ready for use with full juice

Also got $50 off the phone, 25% off the plan, and 20% off of the doubled-data price. More than Sprint but worth it for the data speed. What good does unlimited data do you if it's only available at a dribbled rate?
Had to school the sales staff on the extended return policy change as they hadn't a clue and argued with me for 10 minutes or so until they found the right screen on their system.
FWIW they didn't admit to knowing anything about the GN, but I'll for sure check it out when available, that extended return policy might come in handy.

I'm hoping that our store has the extended battery. I wouldn't mind paying that for one. I get my upgrade on Dec 1st, which I already warned them I will be breaking down the doors for my droid. lol
I just got mine today. Absolutely sick. I love this phone. The screen and the Beats headphones are insane.
The HD screen is unbelievable. I love the resolution and movies look incredible on Netflix. This is my 5th Android and it is everything I've ever asked for in one. Its not nearly as big as I was expecting.

I've had mine for a little over a day now and I agree this is definitely a WOW device (fell in love with it when I got to play with it the day before release). Super fast, crisp clear screen, more realistic camera colors, feels good in the hand, and yes I got the extended life battery too. We are getting LTE here on Dec 15. Havent used it yet though.

As someone who is coming from a ROM'd Droid X, the speed of this phone is more than welcome. I'm already missing some of my old customizations, the gingerbread themed keyboard probably more than most. I plan on yanking it off of my X so I'm not overly worried about it. The phone is fast as hell(a feature phone probably is compared to the X). I am digging the resolution on this most of all. The biggest thing I don't like thus far is the USB connector. I don't like proprietary connectors for the sake of making them proprietary(read making money).
In any case I'm enjoying the change. Haven't benchmarked battery life etc yet but I will over the next few days.

Although I was supposed to have to wait until Dec 1st to purchase, my phone went nuts on me yesterday and crapped out. After talking to VZW support, they let me get my upgrade early and FedEx says it should be here today. I can't wait to get my hands on it!
The connector isn't proprietory, a standard micro-usb will work fine. It is shaped like it is because with an adapter it is also an HDMI port.

I just picked mine up tonight I returned a razr last week. The camera on the razr was horrible and wasn't real happy with Motorola in the past. I will admit the razr is a bit snappier then the rezound but not by much. I like the feel and size of this device better!
