Hello all,
Just got my nexus 10, and I love it. Only problem thus far is that when I connect it to my TV, the signal only comes out as 720p. My TV is a Panasonic plasma, bout 5 years old. Ps3 and wii-u come out as 1080p, but not nexus. Could it be the HDMI lead, or my TV?
Any ideas?

Probably your TV. Panasonics have lots of problems because they don't do proper handshaking with other devices. I can't get audio when I try to play on my Panasonic. It's not the lead, they are just some wires and connectors, there wouldn't be any difference between 720 and 1080

The N10 must know what resolution your TV is somehow. Mine puts out 720 to my 720 TV's & 1080 to my 1080's.

Silly question How are you able to tell if your N10 is pushing 720 or 1080? My TV automatically adjusts to the video being sent to it.

When you connect your tablet and TV, the tablet query's the TV to understand it capabilities. Once it knows the resolution it, sends the proper data stream. Panasonic TV's seem to have problems with these dialogs.

Interesting stuff. I have my HDMI pass through an A/V reciever with multiple Inputs. I wonder if as similar set up or an HDMi switch would resolve the issue that people with Panasonic TVs are experiancing?

I think people have been able to get things working with A/V receivers.

Me too , my TV is a LG TV , it is 1080p
Is HDMI line problem , TV problem or nexus 10 problem???

Quick question: Are HDMI cable hot swappable? I've been told yes and no, and have done it without problems. Have I just been lucky?
