Hisense Sero 7 Pro - Unboxing pictures (no video)

I just bought one from my local wally world to give to my daughter for our frequent car trips. They didn't even know what it was but the guy was at least sort of knowledgeable about specifications and what not. Seems good so far. I'm giving it the 14 day treatment and we shall see if it goes back or not.

You're totally accurate. I just have found that a tablet will work for 95% of my needs, and my core i7 laptop will handle the rest.

Case looks a little lame to me. Oh well, when you get the first of any product the accessories are usually limited. Nexus 7 has it beat to heck in the case department!

Walmart has to do a better job of promoting it.
I think these devices are promoting themselves. The Walmart I went to, (with heavy duty road construction hampering all shoppers) managed to sell out of these over the weekend. I went back and the huge pile of Pros were gone, although they still had a large stock of LTs available.

Haha, WE are promoting it...

ain't that the truth, there has been so much positive chatter on this device (count me in), that word spreads fast :D:D

I actually didn't even try the Hisense charger because I have 10 micro USB chargers laying around that I charge my N4 phone with all the time with no problem. I shouldn't be limited to the Hisense charger for the device to work properly.

Does anyone here have a Nexus 7 cover / case / bumper to try on the Sero 7 Pro? Dimensions are very similar:

Nexus 7: 198.5?120?10.56 mm
Sero 7 Pro: 199.8 mm ? 125.8 mm ? 10.8 mm

5 mm isn't nothing, but it's not a lot either... perhaps a few of the cases can fit both?

I have both a Blurex case and a Bear Motion case for the N7. Neither will fit the Sero 7 Pro. If they did fit, all of the ports and the cameras would be covered up.

There are a few cases on Amazon, most won't be available until next week. considering the popularity of the Sero 7, I'm sure we will see many coming out shortly

It's worth mentioning that the Wally website said there were none anywhere near my area - even after entering several zip codes. But when I walked past the electronics case later today there were stacks of them.

Don't believe the website.;)

Thank you for that advice... I am having the same experience on the website, but in fact in my nearby store today at 11am there were none. I'll keep looking... Are you sure it's the Pro? My store had a big stack of the $99 one.

I tried my nexus 7 cover on it, the Hisense is slightly larger so it doesn't fit well and the charger jack is on the opposite end so the holes in the cover don't line up

Your phone chargers probably arent rated at 2 amps. I could see using your phone charger if it was turned off. If its only getting half the amps it needs then what do you expect Nick....

This. Just because the plug fits doesn't mean that it's going to work correctly.

That makes sense. I wasn't aware that it drew 2 amps. At the least other people will now know its a symptom of inadequate power and easily solvable.

Most tablets and the iPhone require up to 2.1 Amp

I went to my Walmart(s) and they didn't have the LT or Pro. But our website has the LT but not the Pro. I'm getting antsy without a tablet so I just might go ahead and get the N7 again.
