Ho. Lee. Cow. What did Google just do? (Pixel C)

This is ridiculous. Launch it as close to Christmas as possible so people have to buy before it gets a thorough review. I almost purchased a Surface over the weekend. Come on Google.!!

Well, if this launch will be like the recent Nexus 6P hang on to your seat! On the positive side Google pretty much upgraded everyone's shipping to next day for no additional charge so there's that.

I'm trying to guess if it will instantly sell out or not. I mean there are a handful of us diehards super interested in this but nothing compared to the scope of a new phone launch. It feels like it is 1/100th of that really. That could bode well for us or there could be a limited supply. So many questions left unanswered!!!

I'm trying to figure out what is taking so long. I doubt it is manufacturing, since China and the rest of the world is quite capable of pounding out glowing flat things.

So it has to be additional development. But since Marshmallow is already fully released, I'm trying to figure out what 2 months of additional Dev is all about. Then I think about "Pixel" and "C" for convertible... Is there more "converting" then just the detachable keyboard perhaps? Like between the OS perhaps?

Point being something was not fully cooked in September, if it is not hardware or Marshmellow.... well whatever it is may be significant.

Pixel C part of the Pixel family that contains only the Pixel Chromebook. With them announcing a 6 week update coming every 6 weeks like a chromebook maybe there is more under the hood then we all really know. Is this another form factor of a chromebook baked in with marshmallow. Could this be the missing link that bridges Chrome OS and Android. I hope there is some news soon as I am tired of waiting and checking.

Lets go Google launch this sucker tomorrow!!!

woot, now if online the store would let me check out... another delay LOL

EDIT my nexus 9 flat out refused to finish the transaction. Switched to phone to actually buy this... I think N9 knows something is up!

TheVerge slammed it. Said not worth the money. Hmmmmmm. Just cancelled my order

£399 for 32GB - seems fair.
£549 for 64GB - what?! £150 extra for just 32GB more. That's crazy. Apple-style upselling that is.

Funny thing is, everybody's testing this tablet like it's supposed to be a laptop replacement. All the videos I've watched so far that's basically the path there taking. For me, I just want a tablet, I don't need a keyboard. Love my Nexus 10, but it's never going to get marshmallow. I'm sure I'll love my Pixel C when it arrives. I'm not looking for a productivity tool, I use my tablets mainly for entertainment.

I felt like the verge completely missed the point of the device, try to analyze it like a laptop replacement instead of an amazing tablet that pushes a little bit into the productivity room. They also. It on software and ecosystem, which make no sense because it's running marshmallow. So unless marshmallow is a garbage OS, then this is still running the exact same best software available to all the other Android tablets are. This thing is a nexus 9 on steroids with a keyboard that makes it easy to transition from work to play and back again. If they don't get the point and try to match it up against the surface, that's not the market this is for. This thing is exactly what I wanted, but I could understand if it's not exactly what other people thought that they were going to get if they were looking for a convertible rather than all out chart topping tablet.

I read the verge review closely. I dont trust them on general but it seems they had no idea what they were reviewing, let alone whether or not it was actually a good tablet or not.

You have got to be kidding me....I have never read a positive review for anything android on the verge. And yes, I figured everyone would be comparing this to things not necessarily in it's wheelhouse.

I did read their review but like all of their reviews in the past the negative tone throughout just makes me mad and the bias on that site is unbelievable. Thankfully I had my ad-block-plus on for that site!

Google ruined this tablet when I noticed that there is no microsd option or 128 GB option. Also I wish they had a wacom stylus to go with it, they missed the mark completely.
