Home Key - Complete Action Using TouchWiz Easy Home - HUH?

If you get a message about "complete action using" "touchwiz" "touchwiz easy home" from your Galaxy S5 mobile phone, you can get rid off this message by downlading the "Google Now Launcher" from Play Store Applications. After downloading the application, the old message will again appear and choose the "complete action using" and click and set the always "Google now launcher" icon, and SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM. I have spent three hours to find that solution I have tried all the solutions recommended by the forum users but they did not solve my problem.

Ok, Guys to make " TouchWiz homes" or Touchwiz easy home" disable from home button by going to setup.
1- Press setting.
2- go to Default applications.
3- under"< Default applications"
Press "Home"
4- Under "< Change home".
Select " Touchwiz easy home" or
Select" TouchWiz home" by pressing
One of them. To changed your home
Screen.
5- Exit and done.
This Samsung S5, (S3, S4, it about the same ways)
good luck guys.

I just follow the suggestion of going to settings, then selecting applications, and default apps, seeing the stupid touch wiz and pushed the 'clear' button that was right next to it. My BIG question is .... what istouch wiz and what is it used for? Now that I have 'cleared' touch wiz, home blah, blah....is it gone for good and did I need it?

A complete factory reset is too much to do and you will lose all of your info. simply go to settings, apps, default apps and tap clear by the home wiz button. I'm glad I came and read comments here before doing a factory reset.

Thank you sir !!! Your method was the "only - one" that worked on my note 3 !!! Keep up the good work !!!

I have the same problem. Everything was working fine, then every time after a while (a few days to a week) when I pressed the home button kept getting asked the touchwiz question. Very annoying. To make it worse I cleared the data for Touchwiz and lost all my setup, had to do it all again!
I have still got the problem above even though reset my phone. Pressing "always" didn't work, it only lets you use the home button for a while, then it starts happening again. If you press once, then next time you press the home button it kicks in right away. I need to find out what is making it kick-in after pressing always. I have not upgraded Google Search like the other person did so that can't be the problem. I really love the phone but this is getting really old and is making me want to change to a different kind of phone next time.

On the S 3 note you can find the touchwiz in settings but there is no clear button there. I have go to Active Apps which is not under settings, it is a widget called "Active apps". I have cleared the touchwiz here before and I still get this thing popping up.

ive cracked this, go into settings default applications and to set defaults. clear everything on there EXCEPT touchwiz and east touchwiz - you should only have those two to choose from. Now select touchwiz so it has a tick in the box then press home (central) button and hey presto the most annoying pop up box is gone. Nothing to do with google or anything else mentioned on here. thanks and goodbye.

It isnt working for me. I am still getting that damn request almost every time I press the home button. Please help? I am literally in tears here.

Additionally, when I go into Defaults none of the radio buttons are selected and to select Touch Wiz it doesnt seem to help. Within a press or two it asks me again to select a default. When I go back to the Defaults, Home is showing unselected again.

I have a solution! Well, Rick actually came up with it in his last remarks. I am verifying his solution. When you are forced to select between TouchWiz and TouchWiz Easy, if there any other apps showing, they are your problem! I had a Hotmail to Outlook app that was sitting in there and also Google Launcher (based on some bad advice on here). Once I got rid of those, then my problem was solved. You can verify this now in the Default App section too because TouchWiz is listed finally in Default section, not in option button area. Took me hours. For now on I know to go to last page of advice article like this so I don't waste my time on people who tried a method and did not wait 5 minutes to see if the problem was really fixed. P.S. I have a Samsung Note 4.

I have directly contacted Samsung on this issue after using all supposed remedies except factory reset (They didn't even know that this was an issue on many Samsung models. They connected to my phone and after wiping my home screen (again) they suggested a factory reset.
I told them that I wasn't ready to lose my data and they suggested backing up my phone using the kies program installed on my pc. Because this is a Samsung App I'm surprised that they didn't have any idea the problem exists. I do see a problem with the phone saving default programs too use to open objects. When I open the Default Applications it only shows Home and Messages for the Default Applications.

I've showed Samsung the problem, they took control of my phone and wiped my home screen settings then asked if I wanted them to do a factory reset.... :( I went home and backed everything up with kies and did a factory reset, restored my data, and guess what... problem still exists.

This solution worked for me - I went into Settings - Default Applications - Home

This gave me the option to change the Home settings ie from Touchwiz Easy to Touchwiz Standard etc

I saw that a Hotmail app was listed here but thankfully the option to delete it was available (the trash bin wasn't greyed out as it was for Touchwiz Easy and Standard) and with great eagerness I deleted it..

No more annoying pop up everytime I press the home screen!

I have a Samsung Note 4.

I did this to myself this morning and was freaking out at the repeated pop up message. I found a very easy fix for it. Go to SETTINGS, then DEVICE, select the Home Screen Mode option. I toggled between Easy Mode and Standard Mode. Voila'. My "Standard Mode" homescreen(s) are all back to normal and the TouchWiz message has disappeared. FYI, I am using a Galaxy S4 on VZW...

This fixed mine!
