How Can I disable The Google Assistant (effects)

I updated my google app and since then every time i hit my home button, dots appear and they just agrovate me... i disabeled the google assistant but it is still happening.
if i press it for a second or more they just disappear.
i know this is a weird one but its a pet peve

Go to Settings, home button action. From your post it's hard to be sure where the issue lies. Can you post a screenshot? Have you looked at the settings for Google Assistant?
