how can i reset my private pattern for samsung s7 edge

If you didn't disable remote controls or never signed on to your Samsung Account on the device, you can use Samsung's FindMyMobile site and unlock from there (this will reset all passwords/patterns). You do need, of course, the Samsung account password and a valid network connection on the device for this to work.
