How do I get rid of this annoying pop up icon that, if accidentally touched, locks my touch screen?

There is a gray circle, about the size of the "Messenger" circles, with what looks like a cell phone with little movement marks above the device. This icon, which pops up for whatever reason, if accidentally touched, causes my screen to become totally unresponsive. I have to force a turn off of the device by holding both power and volume buttons for an extended time. When the device restarts the icon is gone, but within a short time it is back! Does anyone know how to either prevent this icon from showing up - or at least how to get rid of it?

Hi, welcome to the forums! This is a known issue affecting many users. The culprit is an app called Peel Smart Remote, search for it in your app manager and disable it. Tell us how it goes.
